IDream needed 17 runs in the last over, and the game went smoothly until that point. With 10 runs in the first two deliveries, Bhuvaneswaran deserves praise for his superb hitting, but Gurjanpeet's valiant effort helped his team win the game with some outstanding bowling. iDream Tiruppur's trip comes to an end here, while Siechem Madurai Panthers win the game and qualify for the playoffs.
The Panthers started off brilliantly after being asked to bat first. Using the fielding limits to their full advantage, C Hari Nishaanth and Suresh Lokeshwar gave their team a strong start. At the end of the powerplay, they scored 43 points. They both hit some incredible strokes before Nishaanth's dismissal for 34 in the ninth over put an end to their 68-run partnership.
The chase started well for iDream as they managed to post a good total on the board till they lost their first wicket. K Vishal Vaidhya got out after scoring 21 runs. Tushar Raheja who was the architect of the run-chase played a sensible inning of 51 runs in 41 deliveries with 6 fours and 1 Six in his account. Vijay Shankar toiled hard till the end but lost his wicket courtesy of Gurjanpeet's brilliant slower ball.
