Milestone
That is it from this TNPL fixture. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Hitesh Peddurwar and Deepak Prakash (1st innings), who, alongside our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya brought you all the live-action of this low-scoring affair. We will meet in a different fixture. Until then, it's cheers!
Rahil Shah (Chepauk Super Gillies Captain): "Definitely, it was a superb performance. With 130 on the board, credits to our bowlers especially Simbu (M Silambarasan). I thought it was a 150-160 wicket when we batted. But once I saw it spinning while we were bowling, I thought we had more than enough. Haha, we were trying to spin and the pitch aided as well. We practised more and more bowling on perfect spots. And that has paid off for us. I would have placed a deep point instead of deep cover on this pitch for myself. We have done what we can. Now we will wait for the result of that match between Tiruppur and Madurai. We will eat popcorn and sit and watch the game, that's it, hehe."
Ganga Sridhar Raju (Ba11sy Trichy Captain): "Yeah wicket was helping a bit, I tried to bowl on the good lengths. Good that I got 3 wickets. In the batting, we failed to build a partnership. Throughout the tournament, we have failed to do it and that's the reason we have struggled with the bat. In bowling, we have done good, in batting we have failed to perform. We have failed to judge the balls in the middle."
M Silambarasan: "Hey, thanks! I am really happy with the performance. I just try to keep it simple and let the pitch do it automatically. I kept on bowling it on the right spots and allowed the natural phenomenon to do the rest. Hehe, the one which goes with the arm comes naturally, I haven't tried anything extra. First fifer and always a great feeling."
The Player of the Match award goes to M Silambarasan.
22:17 IST| Time for Post-Match Presentation Ceremony!!!!
Sanjay Yadav(Chepauk Super Gillies): "It was a low-scoring game. The wicket was actually slow, when we were batting it was slow and we thought while bowling that if we bowl on a good line and length then it will be easy for us. Yeah, M Silambarasan is a good bowler, he has done it for us in the past and he has done it for us today."
10:10 PM IST | It was a quick work... Chepauk Super Gillies win by 58 runs defending 130! Unbelievable stuff. M Silambarasan with an impressive spell picked a five-wicket haul which is the third best figures in TNPL history punch down lacklustre Ba11sy Trichy for just 71 in 13.4 overs which is the third-lowest total in TNPL as well! Records galore here at Tirunelveli as Trichy are yet to find a win despite playing six games!

Ba11sy Trchy won the toss earlier in the match and opted to field first. Despite having a strong batting line-up, Chepauk Super Gillies were reduced to 73/6 in the 13th over. Ganga Sridhar Raju got to his best-ever bowling figures running through the Super Gillies batting order and finishing with figures of 4-0-15-3. Before Raju, K Easwaran bowled magnificently with the new ball denting the Super Gillies by picking a couple of wickets.

A partnership between debutant R Sibi (31 off 28) and Sasidev (25* off 24) of 56 runs for the 7th wicket pulled the Super Gillies out of the slump as they finished at 129/7 in 20 overs which eventually was more than enough at the end.

The Trichy-based franchise never arrived in the chase as they lost wicket straightaway from the first ball. Apart from Darly Ferrario (45 off 30) no one stood tall to face the spin attack of the Super Gillies. Wickets fell like nine pins and Ba11sy Trichy were folded out for just 71 with M Silambarasan 3-0-12-5 being the chief wrecker in chief of this collapse.

With this win, Chepauk Super Gilles are still in contention to make it to the play-offs, while Ba11sy Trichy are in a slump losing six consecutive matches.

Stay tuned for the presentations...
13.4 Yadav to G G
W In the air and taken!!!! Ba11sy Trichy are bundled out for 71 runs, this is the third-lowest score of the TNPL.  Around the wicket. Tossed up outside the off-stump line, Godson clears his front leg and tries to heave it over the long-off region but he gets it on the toe end of the bat and the ball sails high up in the air. Harish Kumar stationed at the long-off region settles underneath the ball and takes the catch easily. Chepauk Super Gillies have won this game by 58 runs.
13.3 Yadav to G G
0 Good length delivery outside the off-stump line, Godson tries to slap it on the off-side but gets beaten.
13.2 Yadav to G G
4 FOUR!!!!!! Something to celebrate for the Trichy batters. Fuller length delivery on the middle stump line, Godson gets under the ball and smokes it straight over the bowler's head. A couple of bounces and the ball runs down towards the fence in a flash.
Huge appeal for stumping. TV umpire is having a look at it. Fair delivery. Replays come in. Ultra-edge shows no bat involved. Godson's back foot was inside the crease when the bails were removed. Not out.
13.1 Yadav to G G
0 Appeal for Stumping!!!! Fuller length delivery outside the off-stump line, Godson tries to drill it on the off-side but gets beaten. TV replays show that the back foot of Godson was well inside the crease so it's a NOT OUT.
