That's it from our coverage of the 18th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and scorer Paras Yadav.
N Jagadeesan (Chepauk Super Gillies Captain): "We need to come back stronger, we need to play hard and we need to play the game the way it is played."
Ajay Krishna: "It feels surreal. All credit goes to my team. Thank god I was able to deliver for the team. The batter had a good plan and the wicket was slower so I went for my strength. I wasn't nervous in the 19th over as I had the entire team backing me. They were there to back me from day 1. And the captain helped me instructing where and what I need to bowl."
Ajay Krishna is the player of the match.
Murugan Ashwin (Siechem Madurai Panthers): "To defend a low total, picking wickets is key. The way Ajay bowled the 19th over was great and he has a great work ethic. Washington played a fantastic innings and helped us gain momentum. We have done well in the last two games and hopefully, we will carry the momentum forward. I love bowling here in Salem and I'll look to keep contributing for the team."
10:34 PM IST: The Siechem Madurai Panthers win a low-scoring encounter by 12 runs. It's 4th consecutive loss for the Chepauk Super Gillies who won the toss and put Madurai to bat first who were in shambles losing 4 wickets for 18 and then 7 for 79 but an unbeaten 62-run partnership between Washington Sundar (56*) and P Saravanan (22*) put them in a better spot finishing at 141/7.

Chepauk openers S Santosh Shiv (28) and N Jagadeesan (35) started out well adding 59 runs for the first wicket but the run rate wasn't climbing for the team. Murugan Ashwin, the impact player turned the game dismissing both the openers and then Pradosh Ranjan Paul to finish with 3/25.

Skipper Baba Aparajith (33) stayed there till the end but was the last man out in the final over when 15 runs were needed for a win. Barring the top three, no other batter could score into double digits.

Ajay Krishna was the star of the show picking up 4/18 in 3 overs with spinner P Saravanan (1/27) bowling well alongside slow ball specialist Gurjapneet Singh defending in the final over. Swapnil Singh was wicketless but bowled a tidy spell.

Stay tuned for the post match presentation.

M Silambarasan walks out to bat.
That should be the game for the Siechem Madurai Panthers. Baba Aparajith departs as the Panthers are one wicket away from wrapping up this game.
19.1 G Singh to B Aparajith
W GONE! Aparajith fails to take Chepauk home! Over the wicket, a good length delivery angled across on the middle stump, a back of the hand slow ball. Aparajith goes for the big hit across the line. Pulls in the air but doesn't time the slower ball well. Hits straight down the throat of deep midwicket!
