So, that’s it from this match. Lyca Kovai Kings win this game by 59 runs. Stay tuned for more cricketing action going on in our network. For now, this is Saipavan Janaki, signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentator Akshay Bhide  alongside our scorer/analyst  Paras Yadav. Thanks!
Shahrukh Khan (Lyca Kovai Kings Captain): "We thought it may come close but we backed out processes and it worked out. We did well after losing three wickets in the powerplay. We have players who can step up when needed. I'm enjoying my bowling as the ball is coming out of the hand nicely."
Ravi Ashwin( Dindigul Dragons Captain):" First over went for 14 runs and everything went downhill from that. We were outbatted, outbowled today. They went hard initially but lost the game. We bowled some bad balls in the middle. We had a bad day today hope will back stronger. We have lost wickets early, will work on that."
B Sai Sudharsan (Player of the Match): "We did a fine job today. We wanted to bat deep and we did it. I just try to keep things simple and not complicate while batting. The IPL has helped me increase my confidence about my batting."
Player of the Match: B Sai Sudharsan
Manimaran Siddharth (Lyca Kovai Kings): "It was an important win for us and really happy with it. My aim was to pick wickets in the beginning. We are working hard on our fielding and we are getting the process right. We wanted to keep everything simple and happy that it is working out for is."
06.54 PM IST: That's it....Lyca Kovai Kings outclassed Dindigul Dragons in all aspects to secure a convincing 59-run victory, claiming their fourth win in five matches and taking the top spot in the tournament standings.

In the match between Dindigul Dragons and Lyca Kovai Kings, the Dragons won the toss and chose to field first. The Kings' openers, J Suresh Kumar and S Sujay, got off to a shaky start but soon found their rhythm, hitting boundaries with ease. They formed a solid partnership of 49 runs in just 32 balls before Suresh Kumar was dismissed for 29 runs. The powerplay yielded 67 runs for the Kings but cost them three wickets.

P Saravan Kumar proved to be a game-changer for the Dragons as he came on to bowl the final over of the powerplay and took two wickets in quick succession. However, the Kings' middle order, led by B Sai Sudharsan and U Mukilesh, stabilized the innings with a remarkable partnership of 85 runs in 58 balls for the fourth wicket. Sai Sudharsan played a magnificent innings, smashing 83 runs off just 41 deliveries to register his 13th half-century in the TNPL. Mukilesh contributed 34 runs, and Shahrukh Khan's cameo of 18 runs off 11 balls propelled the Kings to a formidable total of 206/5 in their allotted 20 overs. The Dragons' bowlers put up a decent effort, with P Saravan Kumar being the standout performer, claiming two important wickets, while Subodh Bhati, Ravichandran Ashwin, and M Mathivanan picked up one wicket each.

Kings setting a challenging target of 207 runs for the Dragons. However, the Dragons faced a disastrous start, losing four wickets within the powerplay overs. Key batsmen like Rahul, Baba Indrajith, and Adithya Ganesh failed to make an impact, contributing to the early collapse. Shivam Singh and C Sarath Kumar displayed immense resilience, forging a crucial partnership of 77 runs for the sixth wicket. Singh fought hard, eventually scoring a well-deserved half-century, but the Dragons couldn't maintain the momentum and lost wickets at regular intervals. They were eventually bowled out for 147 runs, falling significantly short of the target.

The Kings' bowlers delivered a commendable performance, stifling the Dragons' batting lineup. K Gowtham Thamarai Kannan was the standout bowler, claiming three wickets and conceding only 18 runs. Manimaran Siddharth and Shahrukh Khan also made significant contributions with two wickets each, while Jhathavedh Subramanyan and M Mohammed took one wicket each. The Dragons' batting struggles and the Kings' disciplined bowling sealed the victory for the Kings by a convincing margin of 59 runs.

Stick around for the post-match presentation…
19.1 K Gowtham to Kumar
W That's it. K Gowtham dismisses Kumar as the Dragons have been knocked over on 147. A slower delivery on the stumps, Kumar shuffles across the stumps and heaves it into the leg side. He doesn't get the required distance as the deep square leg fielder moves to his right and completes a good catch. With this, the Lyca Kovai Kings win the game by 59 runs.

Checking runout....The batter is well outside the crease when the bails are off. That's RUN OUT.
18.6 S Khan to Kumar
W On a length outside off, Kumar guides it to short third man and steals a quick single. The fielder throws at the keeper and Kumar dislodges the bails quickly after collecting it. Looks like Mathivanan is struggling at the striker's end to make his ground. The decision is sent upstairs.
18.5 S Khan to Kumar
6 SIXXX!!!! Shahrukh bowls it right in the slot, Kumar gets underneath this one and tonks it over the long on fence for a massive six. It sails 90 m and out of the ground.
18.4 S Khan to M Mathivanan
1 Slower through the air this time from Shahrukh and drilled down the ground for a single.
18.3 S Khan to M Mathivanan
2 Tossed up delivery outside off and Mathivanan steps out and hits it over covers for a brace.
18.2 S Khan to Kumar
1 Fuller delivery outside off and Kumar drives it to the sweeper in the off side for a single.
18.1 S Khan to Kumar
0 Dropped!!! Flighted delivery around off, Kumar hits it straight and Shahrukh in his followthrough gets both hands to it but fails to hold onto it. That was hit very hard and Shahrukh has hurt his fingers.
