The fireworks go off at the Providence Stadium in Guyana and the celebrations begin. I'm sure these celebrations will go on till midnight. The Guyana Amazon Warriors lift their maiden title and are the deserving champions.

It was a pleasure bringing you all the action from the Caribbean Premier League 2023. Hope you enjoyed it. That brings an end to our coverage for this grand final. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Imran Tahir has received the trophy and now the celebration begins in the Warriors' camp.
Imran Tahir (Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "It's beautiful. It has been a great experience. Playing for this brilliant franchise and representing these beautiful people.

There were jokes when I took over the captaincy. I would like to thank the people because that motivated me. A big thanks to Prasanna. He has been working very hard and giving me plans. Also thanks to Ashwin from India because before the tournament started, he said we would win it.

Thanks to the President for constantly checking on us and what we want. There are the things that help you achieve.

I must tell you, this is the biggest achievement of my career. I have been playing CPL for many years and I would like to congratulate the youngsters who did well. We had the belief. We always got into the semi-finals and finals but failed to cross the line. I'm really grateful to all the players for giving their heart out. It made my life easier and I'm just proud that I'm the first captain to achieve this feat.

Look as I said, we were more hungry than ever before. Even when we lost the first qualifier, we have bounced back. The results are not guaranteed but you can achieve those if you work hard for them.

I just want to thank everyone. I want to tell everyone that the day I arrived, we wanted to win the title for you and a big thanks to everyone."
The Guyana Amazon Warriors receive the winner's medal.
Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "Obviously we didn't bat properly. You know, making 94 in the first innings of the final was never going to be enough, and I am disappointed. I thought they played spectacularly well throughout the entire tournament and, you know, we were beaten by the better team today. Well played Guyana. I think they did well. They played consistent cricket throughout the tournament and they deserved winners tonight.

Just the belief and the fight. The way the guys fought till the end despite the injuries. congratulations to them. Tough, you know, on results, but as you know, sometimes in life, some people deserve things than you. And I thought Guyana deserved it more tonight. As I said before, they have consistently played well throughout the tournament. They finished on the top of the table. Obviously, they had to endure going through the longer winning tournament to get to the final, but they held their nerves, and the way they played against Jamaica and they came into this final, I said they were a better team.

The fans came out, they supported them. I just want to thank our fans traveling all around the Caribbean, supporting the Trinbago Knight Riders. Obviously, I know the fans are disappointed, we are as well, but that's the nature of sport. Some people have to win, some have to lose. We end up only losing side by the end of the day. We're still four-time champions and we still have a lot of champions in our dressing room."

The Trinbago Knight Riders receive the runners-up medals.
The match officials are receiving their medals now.
Shai Hope (Player of the Tournament): "Yes, we won. That's the main focus. To contribute and contribute to the team was always my focus.

The hundred was special. The first time, I got to triple figures and that was a really special moment for me personally.

Opportunities one. The second is being valued. All the guys have encouraged me and we have been a family. Saim is a beautiful stroke maker. He is so pleasing to the eyes and hopefully, he gets into Pakistan's side.

The fans have been amazing. Thank you so much to all of you for coming out and supporting us. This win is for all of you."
Player of the Tournament: Shai Hope (481 runs)
Dwaine Pretorius (Player of the Match): "You know, I'm not sure. Just hit consistent lengths. Our team has been superb and they have backed me. To knock over the strong TKR batting lineup on 94, everyone deserves to be here.

Everyone strives to go out there and do their best. But I have to give a lot of credit to God for giving me the talent. The coaching staff has backed me to bowl in the powerplay. Shepherd also bowled beautifully from the other end. I picked the wickets but he kept on building pressure from the other end."
