So, that's a wrap up on Match 29 of the CPL 2023. Don't go too far away as we will be back tomorrow morning for Match 30 which is the final league match of the tournament. Stay tuned to our network for all other cricking actions across the globe across formats. For now, I am Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Imad Wasim (Jamaica Tallawahs Captain): "Fantastic to see that from the non-striker's end and I enjoyed it. Fantastic innings from him. We would have batted first and it's best to bat at day time and wonderful to bat at day time. Nothing. We played well as a unit and the big guys are stepping up. Right way to go and getting momentum into the playoffs. Obviously. Last year was the same. We got the momentum and that is the most important thing. We have momentum and the top and middle order is firing. We are a dangerous team and so the others better watch out."
Sikandar Raza(Saint Lucia Kings Captain)- "Everything went wrong. I think they were more hungry and they outplayed us in all the departments. I think putting them bat first was a good decision. Credit goes to Alex Hales for his beautiful innings. All the morning games are done and that is a positive for us. All the night games are left and that is good. Our bad games are done now I believe and hopefully we will have three good games in the future."
Alex Hales(Player of the Match)- "I have to be lot more consistent and today I middled all the deliveries and everything went positive for me. I wanted to accelerate in front of the couple of off spinners as the boundaries were short. Imad is one of the best all-rounders and he batted really well. In the last 3 games we played really aggressive cricket and I think we will come with more confidence this Tuesday."
10:38 PM IST, 1:08 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for the Jamaica Tallawahs as they thrash the St, Lucia Kings by 122 runs and with this win the defending champions guarantee qualification for the playoffs. The Tallwahs outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game and deserve this win. They seem to be peaking at the right time.

Chasing a mammoth 201 for the win, the Kings never got going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Bhanuka Rajapaksa top scored with 22. Alzarri Joseph got into double figures. and scored 10. Matthew Forde scored 13. But the rest of the batting fell away to be bowled out for 79 in 15 overs. 10 extras were given by the fielding side.

Chris Green was the pick of the bowlers for the Tallawahs as he finished with 4/15 in 4 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Mohammad Amir and skipper Imad Wasim. A wicket also to Hayden Walsh Junior. All in all, a good performance by the defending champions.

Earlier in the game, Jamaica Tallawahs rode on a magnificent innings from opener Alex Hales to post 200+. He scored 119 off 57 balls to power the innings from the start. Plus, he remained unbeaten and carried his bat. Skipper Imad Wasim chipped in with 41 off 24 balls. 10 extras were given by the fielding side as they amassed 201/5 in 20 overs.

The bowlers of the Kings struggled today. Roston Chase picked up a couple of wickets for his side. Alzarri Joseph picked up a wicket to his name and so did Matthew Forde. The rest of the bowlers were wicketless and it was an off day for the Kings.

So, a win by 122 runs for Jamaica Tallawahs over St. Lucia Kings. Stick around for the presentations.

W Run out!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Royal pushes the full ball, on the off stump towards short midwicket and goes for the risky single. Alzarri Joseph also goes to the other end for the non-existent single and he is well short of his crease when the keeper removes the bails after receiving the throw from the fielder. Jamaica Tallawahs won by 122 runs in this game!!!

14.3 I Wasim to M Clarke
W Clarke is walking back!!!!!! On fullish length, angling to off stump. Clarke comes across and goes for the sweep through the square leg and gets pinged on his pad. Umpire signales it out and Clarke reviews. No ultraedge on the fair delivery, pitching outside off, impact in line and wickets hitting. That's the 9th nail in the coffin!
14.2 I Wasim to M Clarke
0 Clarke faces his first ball on length, to the pads. He fails to flick it through leg side and gets hit on pads.
