1:53pm local time, 11:23pm IST: So the Guyana Amazon Warriors remain unbeaten in the CPL this season after that scintillating win. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this game. It is time for me, Sourya Chowdhury to bid you goodbye on behalf of me and my fellow commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. See you soon.
Imran Tahir, Guyana Amazon Warriors captain. "He achieved everything. He is a young cricketer and he will go a long way. He had gone for some runs and I wanted to give him confidence by giving him the last over for his future. Ayub is a fantastic player. We just want him to stay in the crease longer as he can play long innings. He is a special player. I think it has helped that I have been with the team for a couple of years. But the players need to step up and they have done so. I can only give advice. We only need to enjoy our success and respect our culture. The runout was unbelievable our bowlers had gone for a few runs, but everyone chips in and that is crucial. It is an honour to lead Guyana and am glad to go back there for the next match. We want to thank every Guyanese for supporting us.
Rovman Powell, Barbados Royals captain: " It was simple, we needed to get one or two in the first few balls. We need to do these things better. We kept them 10-15 runs short. It wasn't spinning as much. Both Brathwaite and Holder did really well in tandem. Sinclair was a little bit closer than I thought and I wanted that run but these things do happen."

1:43pm Local Time, 11:13pm IST | Sourya: In what was a scintillating CPL Game that swayed wildly to and fro, the unbeaten Guyana Amazon Warriors have prevailed by three runs. It all came down to the last over bowled, surprisingly by left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie (2/38). He was given the unenviable task of defending just five runs as the Barbados Royals needed a mere six. But he came up trumps in spectacular fashion with some brilliant defensive bowling, picking up two wickets in that over and conceding just two.

Chasing 182 for a vital win, the Royals stuttered at the start but some fine hitting by Laurie Evans (44 off 27) and then by skipper Rovman Powell (39 off 19), meant they were well on their way to a famous win. But when Powell was brilliantly run out by Junior Sinclair, the game turned on its head. However, Carlos Brathwaite and Justin Greaves still made them the favorites till that last over. Dwaine Pretorius also bowled a fine spell (2/24).

Earlier, choosing to bat first, the Amazon Warriors rode two fine half-centuries and a scintillating partnership from Shai Hope (50) and opener Saim Ayub (58) to reach a competitive total of 181/9 despite a four-wicket hall by Brathwaite and a flurry of dismissals late in the piece that did restrict them to an extent. Slow over rate meant Rakheem Cornwall was also shown a red card for the Royals in an action-packed climax.
The victory means the Guyana franchise top the table and have qualified for the next round.

Gudakesh Motie: "Thanks to Ayub, I enjoy this moment. The pitch wasn't doing much, I tried to bowl into it and keep it up a bit and target the leg stump."
Saim Ayub | Player of the Match: "Nothing special I just always want to follow my process and keep a simple mind and always understand the situation and conditions to give your 100%.

That kind of patch you have to get set first, it does not matter how you play in the beginning, they play well too. I enjoy the environment, the people are very friendly, and I want to hand over this man of the match to Gudakesh Motie who defended 6 runs in the last over."

19.6 G Motie to J Greaves
W WICKET! OH WOW! What a last over from Motie! He defends 6 runs to hand his team the victory! Barbados' inconsistency rises up again to hand them the defeat! Good length delivery, outside the off stump, catches the outside edge to fly safely into the hands of the fielder at backward point, who makes no mistake to win the game for his team!
19.5 G Motie to J Greaves
0 Dot Ball! Excellent delivery from Motie! They will now need a boundary off the last ball to win this! Full length delivery, outside the off stump, Greaves can't make a connection.
19.4 G Motie to R van
1 Van der Merwe gives the strike back to Greaves cleverly, 4 needed from 2 balls, length delivery, on the off stump, miscues his sweep through mid-wicket for a single.

19.3 G Motie to C Brathwaite
W WICKET! CAUGHT! A twist in the tale as Motie gets rid of Carlos! Good length delivery, on the stumps, slog sweeps it high in the air and straight down the throat of the fielder at deep forward square!
19.2 G Motie to J Greaves
1lb LEG BYE! That's a loud appeal from Guyana, but the umpire keeps his finger down. Back of a length delivery, goes on with the arm, stays a bit low and hits Greaves' pads in front of leg!
19.1 G Motie to J Greaves
0 Motie with the final over, around the wicket, full length delivery, on the stumps, unable to connect with his heave.
6 runs needed from 6 balls. A thrilling chase is in progress here.
