So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, my co-commentator, Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer, Chandan Kr Singh. Do switch over to our coverage of the Final of the Men's Hundred or stay tuned for the early morning CPL fixture between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders. Until next time, it is a warm good-bye.
Imran Tahir (Guyana Amazon Warriors Captain): "I like to play cricket with pride and like to set standards. Pleased with myself for taking those catches. (On the middle-order) That's our team base. We had our overseas players at the top. Then, we have some big-hitters and all-rounders. Even Odean is there. Hetmyer and Keemo played really well. I was really impressed with Keemo. He didn't get much opportunity to bat, so it was nice to see him strike the ball cleanly. We were pretty lucky to get a lot of wickets in the Powerplay. That put us ahead. I want to bowl better, that's not how I want to bowl. Motie bowled well though. We have to accept bowlers are going for runs with shorter boundaries. It is how you come back. I am relishing this opportunity and grateful to Guyana. Want to win the CPL trophy for Guyana fans who have been waiting for a long time."
Brandon King (Jamaica Tallawahs Captain): "Obviously we went with the extra spinner but it was challenging looking at the wicket. We didn't bowl well with the ball and could have chased it down had we started well. It's something we are thinking about. We started badly like them. Losing 5 wickets in the first 7 overs set us back. Obviously the way Imad and Fabian batted gives us encouragement and hope to do well in the coming games. Alex Hales is ready to go. He came in yesterday and we decided to give rest to him. He will feature from the coming games."
Romario Shepherd (Player of the Match): "I would say same thing. Hard work and persevearance played a part. Keemo played an amazing knock to give us the total. Fitness is a key part of our game and especially in this heat and we have to be fit. I think it's about the fire inside to burn a little longer. We have lost in semis and finals and this happens. Hope to get the win and go all the way this time this season."
The pair of Imad Wasim and Raymon Reifer rebuilt slowly for a while but the latter was dismissed by Junior Sinclair with his cousin Kevin taking the catch at long-off. Just as one thought the game was done and dusted, Imad and Fabian Allan took the attack to the Warriors. The Pakistani all-rounder went onto register his maiden CPL fifty while Allen also provided some fireworks for the crowd at Warner Park. Eventually, the Warriors' captain Imran Tahir struck to dismiss Imad in the 16th over as the 97-run partnership was broken. In the very next over, Allen holed out to Junior off Dwaine Pretorius' bowling. Chris Green and Hayden Walsh also showed off their striking ability with a few boundaries as Jamaica reduced the NRR damage. In the end, Gudakesh Motie got Walsh stumped while Mohammad Amir was run-out in the penultimate. Green was the last man to be dismissed as Guyana wrapped up a 34-run victory.
A pretty convincing win for Guyana Amazon Warriors as they submit Jamaica Tallawahs to their first loss of the season. The GAW batters did exceedingly well to post 210-7 and that put their team ahead in the contest at the half-way mark. Thereafter, Romario Shepherd removed Brandon King and Shamarh Brooks on consecutive deliveries in the second over of the chase. The situation got worse for Jamaica as Shepherd got his third scalp by removing Amir Jangoo. Junior Sinclair further reduced the Tallawahs to 13-4 in the fifth over with the Warriors' catching being out of the world.
18.4 D Pretorius to C Green
W WICKET! That's it and the end of the game here for Tallawahs. Fuller and wide outside off, Green looks to go over covers and gets the height and not the distance. The catch is taken by the deep cover fielder who makes no mistake. Pretorius gets a wicket as the Tallawahs have been bowled out for 176 in 18.4 overs.
18.3 D Pretorius to C Green
0 Hard length into the pitch, Green looks to flat bat it away and misses here.
18.2 D Pretorius to C Green
1W Short and wide outside off, Green cuts it away through the point region and wants to come back for the second run. Replays show that Amir is short of his crease and has to depart here. 9 down now are Tallawahs. They will get the one run and a wicket.
18.1 D Pretorius to C Green
4 FOUR! Fuller and wide outside off, Green swats it away through the extra cover region as the ball races away to the fence for a boundary.

Stumping appeal here. Hayden Walsh lost his footing after missing his attempted swipe towards mid-wicket. The replays show that Walsh was just short of the crease when Azam Khan whipped off the bails. So, he has to depart.
