That's all from the inaugural game of Fairbreak Global Womens T20 from our side as well. I hope you enjoyed our coverage. That’s a wrap from our side as well. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorer/Analyst Bishal Mandal, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Suzie Bates (Falcons Women Captain): "Great start. Great to see. Mariko and Satish were great. We pushed through with the run rate. Then Kapp was brilliant. Yes, a little bit tough. It was tough for both teams, but we did well to hang in there and used the towels. It was hard for the spinners to hold the ball. Yes, we just hung in there and did our job. Yes, it's a great tournament and we are looking forward to the upcoming games. The batters can get carried away with the shorter boundaries and so I feel we need to get in and score the runs as we do. It's more of a challenge for the bowlers. I thought we played a good all round game and look forward to the tournament ahead. We won't get carried away with this win for sure."
Theertha Satish (Player of the match): "Yeah, I really enjoyed it. It's new conditions and just playing with Atta (Chamari Athapaththu) and Suzie felt really good. Definitely, the way Kapp bowled was sensational. Yeah, it's a good start in the tournament for us, but yeah, long way to go so, we are focusing one game at a time."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
Stafanie Taylor (Tornadoes Women Captain): "I guess we started well. We had to keep it going, but we became tired. But we were here for the day. No excuses. The bowling wasn't upto the mark and we were not there in the game. The weather played its part but Kapp bowled well. Earlier it was difficult. Sune played well. Just the first game and we will bounce back for sure. We have to assess the areas we need to work on and come back stronger. The bowlers bowled some loose balls and we gave away easy runs. It cost us in the end. Thanks a lot."
3:03 PM IST | Deepak: Falcons Women kicks off their season on a high note by defeating the reigning champions, Tornadoes Women by 41 runs.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Falcons Women posted 150 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. They started their innings on a lackluster note as they struggled to score at the beginning of the innings.  However, Theertha Satish proved to be a saving grace for her team with her powerful 57-run knock that helped the Falcons Women set a challenging total of 150 runs for their opponents. From the bowling front, Sune Luus and  Winifred Duraisingam shared a couple of wickets for the Tornadoes Women.

The Tornadoes' chase of Falcons' 150 runs got off to a nightmare start, thanks to the fiery spell from South African bowler Marizanne Kapp. With her searing deliveries, Kapp outplayed three of the top-order batters and left the opposition reeling at 17/3 within just five overs. Her dominant display from the start set the tone for the match and kept the Tornadoes on the back foot.

Sune Luus and Aliya Riaz tried to steady the ship, but their progress was halted by Gurung, who trapped Aliya Riaz and ceased the 22-run stand between the duo. Tornadoes Women faced a mini collapse and lost the crucial wicket of in-form batter Sune Luus, who was nearing a well-deserved fifty, departed two runs shy of her milestone, plunging her team into trouble.

Eventually, they managed to score 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs and fell 41 runs short of their victory.

From the bowling front, Marizanne Kapp and Sornnarin Tippoch shared three wickets for the Falcons. Kaia Arua chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Chamari Athapaththu contributed one wicket to Tornadoes' downfall.

So, a comprehensive victory for Falcons Women in the inaugural game of Fairbreak Global Women T20, and they will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches. Tornadoes Women needs to regroup and bounce back stronger in the upcoming matches.

Stick around for the post-match presentation.
