Well that brings us to the end of a historic T20I series for Afghanistan! Their first victory against Pakistan. This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyyer! Stay Tuned for more cricketing action coming your way! See you on the next one!
Rashid Khan receives the trophy on behalf of Afghanistan! Let the celebrations begin!
Rashid Khan (Afghanistan Captain): "Special occasion to be a part of this team. Yes, it was all about how we respond when the pressure is on us. Happy that we can chase down a total here on this surface. The youngsters did really on that part but there is still a lot of work to be done. I thought this was a much better wicket than the last one. I felt 183 was getable on this wicket. Great learning for us and these games teach you a lot. I just try to make sure I stay fit and keep it simple. Not to do so many experiments and hit the right areas."
Mohammad Nabi (Player of the Series): "Thanks to my dear Allah we won the series. This was a high pressure game and the conditions were tough too through out this series. My contribution in the team is important and I always try to contribute my 100% whether bowling or batting. Bad decision on that second run."
Shadab Khan (Pakistan Captain and Player of the match): "Yeah, we wanted to finish on a high note today. We know Afghanistan has good talent and we just had to adapt to the conditions well today. If you play for the pride of your country, nothing is difficult. The main motive of this series was to give youngsters a chance. Not necessarily a long one but still give them an opportunity. Hopefully, they will be able to gain some confidence from this."
1:08 AM IST | Time for the presentation ceremony...
12:54 AM IST | And with that Pakistan close out a dominant victory in this dead rubber encounter! They defeat a clueless Afghanistan by a big margin of 66 runs. However, this was only a consolation victory for them as Afghanistan win this T20I series 2-1!

Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field first. The decision paid off in the beginning as both Mujeeb and Nabi struck off their first deliveries to put Pakistan under early pressure. However, after that Pakistan entered a period of stability as Saim Ayub and Shafique entered a 35 run stand. Ayub missed out on his half-century as he was eventually dismissed for 49 runs off 40 deliveries.

Shafique and Iftikhar carried on keeping the scoreboard ticking and thanks to a cameo by Shadab Khan, Pakistan managed to cross the 180 run-mark to eventually score 182/7 from their 20 overs. Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2/28 from his quota of 4 overs.

Come the chase, Pakistan put the openers under early pressure as they gave away only 5 runs from the first 2 overs and they broke the opening partnership in the 5th over with the scoreboard reading 35 runs. Quickly after Atal followed his opening partner back into the hut and Afghanistan never recovered.

Losing wickets at regular intervals thanks to Ihsanullah's fiery over after drinks where he picked up 2 wickets and sent Najibullah Zadran back to the dugout retired hurt. Shadab Khan followed it up with 2 wickets in the 12th over to all but end Afghanistan's chances in the game as he picked up his 100th T20I wicket! He was the pick of the bowlers for his excellent 3/13 from 4 overs, while Ihsanullah too picked up 3/29 from his 4 overs.

In the end, the fire in Pakistan's belly was way too much in comparison to the Afghani counterparts and it showed on the field. Congratulations to Afghanistan for winning this T20I series 2-1! Huge boost of confidence for their cricket.
18.4 Z Khan to A Omarzai
W WICKET! That will do it for Pakistan. A consolation victory for them and they have eluded a clean sweep here. Much fuller and darted into the middle and leg stump line. Omarzai clears his front leg and goes for a heave down the ground. But the right-hander gets it on the toe end of his bat and doesn't get the desired elevation. Tahir takes a simple catch at long-on with a reverse cup. Pakistan defeats Afghanistan comfortably by 66 runs in the last T20I of the series.
18.4 Z Khan to A Omarzai
