Shahid Afridi ( Captain, Asia Lions ): "I don't consider toss when pitch doesn't change. Great start by the openers, they were waiting for the finals. The pitch can help the spinners really well, Razzak played superbly. Tanvir enjoying wherever he's playing. I must give credit to the whole management, well organized. I want to come back next year, but I should train before I come."

Shane Watson( World Giants Captain): "Very nice wicket and we would have bat but Razzak was nice at the starting and what an innings from Kallis that was beautiful to watch. 147 was the good total and we didn't started perfectly with the bowl also but Dilshan and Tharanga batted well and we took wickets at end. The Asian Lions an Indian Maharajas are absolutely good teams and great to watch this in the future. Doha is absolutely beautiful city and ground peoples are managened well and will back next year."

Upul Tharanga (Player of the Tournament Award): " It is I think, we had a good start. We understood each other. It's my strength to go over the bowler. We are talking as well. I tried one inside out against Powell, and Dilshan told me to go straight. I did obey and hit two sixes. We knew we need to get a good start. Then the chase gonna be easy."

Upul Tharanga (Asia Lions Player): "Very good feeling and the bowlers are really started well. I think the wicket is something and Razzak did well at the start.(with Dilshan) We have been played in the national team and had been played in this and that partnership is like oldest. I think we started really well as Tanvir is the highest wicket taker and today also did well."

Earlier in the match, World Giants captain Shane Watson won the all-important toss and opted to bat first. They had change in opening pair today as Lendl Simmons and Morne van Wyk walked in together. They had no success as such as both got dismissed inside the third over including Watson for a duck. They were looking helpless, then came Kallis the savior, who held a partnership with Ross Taylor. Kallis looked better batter, he played shots all around the ground, making fielders run hard.
But the lack of support from Ross backfired him in the end. They couldn't post a strong total they wanted, they ended up three shy of 150. For the Lions, Razzak bowled superbly well, getting purchase off the surface, and his two early wickets became crucial as the innings progressed.

As the chase unfolded, it opened with a bang. Tharanga and Dilshan played proper cricketing shots against all the bowlers. Best, Mpofu couldn't restrict them today as they didn't bowl tight lines and lengths. More than them making mistakes, it was the brilliance of the Lankan duo that took the match away. Tharanga continued his dream run, scoring another fifty today. Their bowlers had hardly bowled a wicket-taking delivery when it was need of the hour.
But there's some consolidation for the bowlers in the end. Both the openers got dismissed in quick succession but it was too late to pull off a victory from there on. Eventually, Lions won the match with seven wickets in hand with 23 balls to spare. They looked better side today, no match for the World Giants who had three-day break before this match. This might have played against them as they were up against Asia Lions who last played on Saturday.
