11:49 PM IST| That's a wrap from our side.
I, Amit Das, along with my co-commentators Prince Suman, Harsha Anand and scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh, am bidding you all good-bye! Thanks for joining in, do join our other cricket coverages. Don't go anywhere we'll be having another contest coming your way shortly after this. Till then, goodbye, see you soon .....
Shahid Afridi (Captain, Asian Lions): "No, the weather is really nice here and it was not all hot. All the boys were geared up and wanted to perform today as it was a do or die match for us. Happy with the contributions from all especially Tharanga, Hafeez, Dilshan, Perera and Tanvir. Yeah we thought 190 odd was a good score on that wicket and credit to the groundmen for preparing such a nice wicket. Yeah, we look forward to going one step ahead and take on World Giants in the finals and hopefully be able to to win that the finals. Thanks to all the supporters"
Gautam Gambhir (Captain, Indian Maharajas): "Disappointed to not to get over the line today, I think we played well throughout the tournament but in those crunch moments we were not able to hold on our nerves in those key moments. Yes, an absolutely wonderful tournament and have to give credit to organizers, sponsors and all the people in the backend that have come here and made this thing happen. Would have been nice to go one step ahead but I think today Asian Lions were the better team. Lastly, thanks to all the supporters who have come in large numbers to cheer for us. Thank you!"
Upul Tharanga (Player of the match): "Yeah, the ball was coming on nicely in the first 3-4 over and then it started holding a bit. Got a good partnership with Dilshan going and we kept talking to each other about capitalizing in the initial overs and look to build from there. Look forward to the finals in two days time"
Sohail Tanvir: "Yes, it (purple cap) went away for a short while from me to Bhajji, but you know it happens in these tournaments that it goes from one bowler to another. But I am really happy to get it back! Yes, today the wicket was not as bad as the other day but still it was keeping low, it was harder in the fast 6 overs to contain the batsman up front and the way GG was batting I just told him that you can play for another 3-4 years. But after that the way Hafeez bowled and the way he kept it tight and brought us back into the game was really the game changing spell for us I think"
It's time for post-presentation...
11:22 PM IST| Asia Lions makes its way to the finals, wins big before the finals. Clinical team effort takes them through to the finals against World Giants
Earlier in the night, Shahid Afridi won the toss and opted to bat first in this crucial match. Their openers Tharanga and Dilshan complemented each other pretty well. They started off watchfully with Tharanga scoring the bulk of the runs. Dilshan struggled to find his game going today, he got out to Ojha. But Hafeez, Asghar and Perera made the difference in the middle phase of the game. They maximized the lean phase of the innings with inside-out shots to keep the tempo up and going. In the death overs, they went after the bowlers. They reached the target of 191 at the end of 20 overs.
From bowling point of view, though Dinda failed to clinch a scalp but he bowled his best tonight. Except him Pragyan was getting purchase off the surface as he picked up two wickets. Most importantly, they conceded 15 runs extra which turned out to be vital in the later half of the game.
As the chase unfolded in the second innings, Robin and GG built a strong partnership as they brought up fifty runs in the fifth over itself. But after that their wickets kept on falling at regular intervals, and they hardly had good partnerships to change the momentum of the match.  GG looked in great touch but he fell cheaply to Hafeez. In the middle phase, Kaif and Raina couldn't bring out their best today to get close to the target as they struggled throughout the innings.
They lost last 7 wickets at the cost of 40 runs. Afridi rotated his bowlers quite well and they responded him with a wicket each time. Tanvir, Razzak and Hafeez all picked up two wickets each. This comes to end the season campaign of India Maharajas as they failed to qualify for the finals.
16.4 I Udana to P Tambe
W Done and dusted! Beaten him all ends up. Slower ball off the surface on good length, Tambe gets deceived and the stumps are rattled.
16.3 I Udana to P Tambe
0 Fuller on to the stumps, Tambe pushes down to deep cover for none.
16.2 I Udana to P Tambe
0 Back of a length around off, Tambe went for the cut but missed the line.
16.1 I Udana to P Ojha
1 Pitched up son short, Ojha opens face of the bat for one run, but they could have gotten one more due to overthrow. These runs wont change anything.
