That’s a wrap from our side as well. It was a great game for cricket enthusiasts and I hope you enjoyed our coverage. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Prince Suman and Scorer/Analyst Chandan Kumar Singh, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌✌
Gautam Gambhir ( India Maharajas captain): "It's not finished until it's finished, and that's what T20 cricket is all about. Things can change in an instant. We couldn't do it; we should not have gone so far in the end; instead, we should have finished it on the 19th. These catches do alter the course of the game, but as I previously stated, you can't go too deep, especially on a slow wicket like this. We could have taken a risk when we had wickets in hand, especially in the 18th or 19th over. We thought they'd get to 200-220, so limiting them to 165 was a fantastic effort. You have to give it to the bowlers for the way they do things."
Aaron Finch (World Giants Captain & Player of the Match): " Yes, it was difficult for me to hit the ball in the first few overs, but when I set well, I hit some boundaries and formed a good partnership with Shane Watson. Yes, after 14 or 15 overs, the wicket was changed; the wicket was slow and low. I believe both teams bowled well in the final five overs. We benefit from having a larger boundary side. Yes, I am overjoyed to have won this match."
11:37 PM IST | Deepak: Phew, goodness me, what a game of cricket we have witnessed. World Giants thumped India Maharajas by 2 runs, thanks to Brett Lee who bowled brilliantly and saved 8 runs in the last over. Take a bow legend, the man with nerves of steel.

Earlier opting to bat first, the World Giants posted 166 runs in 20 overs. Their innings were anchored by master-class innings by Aaron Finch and Shane Watson as the Aussie players hammered the bowlers and completed their half-century which helped the World Giants post a 166-run total. However, the India Maharajas bounced back in the death overs and scalped some quick wickets, which derailed the batting of the Giants and restricted them to 166 runs. Harbhajan Singh led the bowling unit for India Maharajas by scalping four crucial wickets.

In pursuit of the Giants' formidable total of 166 runs, the India Maharajas started their innings with a bang, thanks to their dynamic opening duo of Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir. After a cautious start in the first over, the pair unleashed their inner beauty and started smashing the ball around the field, much to the delight of the spectators. They added a blistering 63 runs in the powerplay, putting the Giants on the backfoot from the very beginning.

However, their relentless charge was halted when the Giants' skipper, Finch, called upon the services of the talented Ricardo Powell. The right-arm offie lived up to expectations and managed to trap Robin Uthappa, providing the Giants with their much-needed breakthrough. Robin Uthappa scored 29 runs before his dismissal.

After Robin Uthappa's dismissal, Murali Vijay joined skipper Gautam Gambhir in the middle. However, Vijay's stint at the crease was short-lived as he felt uncomfortable after playing just 9 balls and had to retire hurt for 11 runs. Undeterred, Gambhir soldiered on and was joined by Suresh Raina, who batted with caution and aggression to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Gambhir, in particular, was in superb form and completed yet another half-century, taking his team to a commanding position. The duo thumped the loose deliveries for boundaries, and it looked like the Maharajas were well on their way to victory. However, just when everything seemed to be going right for them, they lost two quick wickets in the form of Raina (19) and Gambhir (68). It was a setback for the Maharajas as they lost a couple of quick wickets and the equation was reduced to 21 runs off the last two overs. Mohammad Kaif and Stuart Binny slammed 13 runs off the penultimate over and reduced the equation to 8 runs off the last over. However, the Giants had one last ace up their sleeve in the form of the formidable Aussie speedster Brett Lee, who had nerves of steel and was determined to clinch victory for his side.

Brett Lee bowled with great precision in the last over, hitting the right spots and making it difficult for the Maharajas to score the required runs. Despite Kaif and Binny's best efforts, Lee's skill and experience proved too much for them, and he managed to save 8 runs in the last over, ensuring that the Giants emerged victorious by a slender margin of 2 runs.

From the bowling front, Ricardo Powell the impact player for Giants scalped a couple of wickets, while Brett Lee, Tino Best, and Chris Mpofu each contributed one wicket.

It was a thrilling contest that had spectators on the edge of their seats, and Lee's heroics in the final over will be remembered for a long time to come.

Stay tuned for the presentation...
