Pitch Report: The pitch at the Emirates Old Trafford is a belter of a track. The batters enjoy batting here as the ball comes nicely onto the bat. The bowlers often go on a journey on missing their mark. We can expect a high-scoring affair tonight.
Welcome to the coverage of the 115th match of the Vitality T20 Blast 2023 between Lancashire and Yorkshire. This high-octane clash will take place at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. I’m Akshay Bhide and I’ll take you through the ball-by-ball updates of this clash along with scorer Yogesh Kumar.
Fun Friday greets us with a mouth-watering battle between the Roses. It's Red Roses versus White Roses. Don't get confused. It is the match between Lancashire Lightning and Yorkshire Vikings in the T20 Blast 2023. This North Group clash will come live from Old Trafford, Manchester

Lancashire are flying high and placed second with 14 points from 12 games, winning seven and losing five matches. On the other hand, Yorkshire are in fifth place with 13 points in as many games, winning and losing six games each with a rain-washed-out match against Durham.

It hasn't been as easy as it was at one point for the Lightning. After winning the first three fixtures of the tournament, the Liam Livingstone-led side were in a fix losing the next four games on the trot. But they have managed to bounce back nicely by winning four out of their last five matches to put themselves in a strong position.

The Vikings were in a brilliant space winning six consecutive games sandwiched between three defeats on either side. Heading into this, the Shan Masood-led side faced Durham but the rain didn't allow any play making the two teams share a point each.

The battle of Roses was won by White Roses last time and it's time for the Red Roses to take a sweet revenge. And the revenge from the home side will see Yorkshire exiting the competition.

A win here for Lancashire will almost seal the deal of the knockouts, while a win here for Yorkshire will keep them in the race to the knockouts but they have to pray for the results of other matches to go their way.

To witness a thrilling encounter between the oldest rivals, join us at 10:30 PM IST for the live coverage!
