This will bring curtains to the coverage of this game. Hope you enjoyed the coverage and we assure you to bring back more entertaining coverage. Until then, this is your commentator, Vikhyat Jain signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Megh Mandaliya and our scorer, Ashok. Tada!
An easy victory as you like for the Somerset here. It was all Somerset throughout the game apart from that one partnership in the middle between Carlson and Gugten. With the bowl and then with the bat, an authoritative show by Somerset to decimate Glamorgan.
Somerset dominated the show right from the word go. Winning the toss and bowling first, the bowlers pushed Glamorgan against the wall with early wickets. It was the partnership between Carlson and Gugten that pulled the innings of Glamorgan on the track. But with both the batters falling in quick succession, the much-needed impetus at the end was missing which resulted in a below-par total.
On the other hand, Somerset batters gave no chance for the Glamorgan bowlers to bounce back, starting with Will Smeed who fired out a half-century. Supporting him from the other end was Cadmore, who also took the assault on the bowlers and powered to his fifty. In the end, it turned out to be a walk in the park kind of a chase for Somerset. With this win, Somerset stays atop with 18 points.
17.1 A Gorvin to T Kohler-Cadmore
1 On the good length and Cadmore gently pushes it to long on for a single and that will be it for Somerset.
