That brings us to the end of the match coverage between Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Worcestershire Rapids. It was Northamptonshire Steelbacks day today as they sneaked away with a victory.

Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator  Saptak Sanyal, and scorer/analyst Vishnu .....Until then stay safe...
21:50 IST| Northamptonshire Steelbacks have done it ....... Saif Zaib held his nerves in the end and took his team over the line. Worcestershire Rapids taste their first defeat of this season.

Earlier in the game, Northamptonshire Steelbacks won the toss and opted to bowl first. Worcestershire Rapids lost an early wicket but the duo of Brett D'Oliveira and Jack Haynes steered the ship for rapids. This duo scored at a brisk rate and glued a partnership of 59 runs off just 34 balls.

The wickets started tumbling down for the Rapids in the middle overs as they moved from 2-61 to 5-87 in a flash. Good cameos of 46 runs by Olly Cox and 33 runs by Mitchell Santner helped Worcestershire Rapids to get to a total of 178 runs.
Freddie Heldreich was the pick of the bowlers for the Steelbacks as he scalped 3 wickets and gave away 28 runs in his 4-over spell.

Coming to the chase, Chris Lynn and Ricardo Vasconcelos opened the innings for the Steelbacks. Chris Lynn was struggling in the middle on the other hand Ricardo was timing the ball beautifully. Chris Lynn failed to put an impact on the scoreboard and departed after scoring just 9 runs.

David Willey joined Ricardo in the middle and this duo took over the bowlers, they didn't let the required run rate pile up. This duo bonded a partnership of 40 runs off 25 balls for the 3rd wicket. Rapids dragged back the game by scalping a couple of quick wickets. Ricardo and David departed after scoring 44 and 20 runs respectively.

The onus was on the duo of Joshua Cobb and Saif Zaib, the required run rate was piling and boundaries started draining out. This duo got settled in the middle and shifted their gears at the right moment. They stitched a partnership of 70 runs for the 4th wicket.

Saif Zaib was the man of the moment for the Steelbacks he held one end pretty well and took the game deep. 15 runs were needed in the last over, Zaib smacked 2 sixes and a four in the last over and took his team over the line. Zaib played a splendid knock of 70 runs off just 35 balls, his knock included 9 fours and 2 sixes.

As a bowling group, it was a day to forget for the Rapids as they failed to capitalize on the crunch moments. Adam Finch, Patrick Brown, Michael Bracewell, and Mitchell Santner scalped wicket apiece for Worcestershire Rapids.
19.4 P Brown to S Zaib
4 That's the winning shot! Zaib again shuffled to off and the bowler bowled the length ball, on off , to which the lefty lofted that one over mid off for a boundary. It has been a terrific innings from Saif Zaib! You beauty!
19.3 P Brown to S Zaib
6 Now this is the turning point I must say! Back to back sixes from the lefty. He shuffled to off stump and the ball was bowled at hard length, angling to off stump and he pulled it over cow corner for a six!
Equation boils down to 9 runs off 4 balls.
19.2 P Brown to S Zaib
6 SIXXXX! The ball was full, on middle and Zaib with his open stance, dispatched this over midwicket for a maximum. What a player!
19.1 P Brown to S Zaib
0 Starts with a dot!! Brown serves slow,on length and the ball beats Zaib who was looking to scoop
It's going all down the wire... Northamptonshire Steelbacks need 15 runs off 6 balls.
