01:46 AM IST:- The match between Nottingham and Worcester proved to be a thrilling encounter filled with explosive batting performances and dramatic collapses. Worcester posted an imposing total of 226 runs after their 20 overs, courtesy of a scintillating partnership from their openers, Brett D'oliveira and Michael Bracewell.

D'oliveira set the tone for Worcester's innings with a quickfire 44 runs off just 21 balls, showcasing his ability to score at a rapid pace. Bracewell was equally destructive, smashing 55 runs off just 27 deliveries, further propelling Worcester towards a mammoth total. Their attacking onslaught was well supported by Jack Haynes, who contributed 42 runs, and Adam Hose, who played a composed innings to score 51 runs.

Nottingham's bowlers found it challenging to contain the Worcester batsmen, but Steven Mullaney managed to pick up two wickets to provide some respite. Matthew Carter, Shaheen Afridi, and Samit Patel also chipped in with a wicket each, but they struggled to stem the flow of runs as Worcester piled on the pressure.

In response, Nottingham got off to a promising start during the powerplay as Alex Hales and Joe Clarke manufactured a good scoring rate. However, once Clarke departed after scoring 25 runs, Nottingham's batting lineup crumbled like a pack of cards. The collapse was severe, with only Hales showing resilience and determination amidst the chaos.
Hales played a brilliant innings, anchoring the Nottingham innings with a well-compiled 71 runs. However, his efforts were in vain as wickets tumbled around him. Shaheen Afridi provided some late fireworks with an 11-ball 29, injecting brief excitement into the chase. Worcester's bowlers were relentless in their pursuit of victory.

Brett D'Oliveira was exceptional with the ball, claiming four wickets to dismantle the Nottingham batting lineup. Pat Brown matched D'Oliveira's performance by also taking four wickets, ensuring that Nottingham fell short of the target.
Ultimately, Worcester's dominant batting display and disciplined bowling effort saw them emerge victorious, bundling out Nottingham for 170 runs. The match showcased the unpredictability and excitement that Twenty20 cricket brings, leaving fans on the edge of their seats until the final wicket fell.

W  That's it!! With the wicket, Worcestershire won the match by 56 runs!! In the air and taken!!! Length ball on middle and off, Carter looks to hit it over the long-on but doesn't connect it well as the ball gets the leading edge of the bat that flies in the air and goes into the hands of the keeper who runs forward and takes a stunner.
