That's it from Nottingham as Yorkshire get their first win of the season. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar and scorer Ashok. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
1:53 AM IST: After three straight losses to start their Blast campaign, Yorkshire finally have a win to their name defeating Nottinghamshire in an away fixture by 8 runs on the back of some riveting allround performances and a team performance to get up on the points table.

Earlier in the game, Yorkshire won the toss and opted to bat first depositing 182/7 on the back of Dawid Malan's 95 not out. Skipper Shan Masood offered him good support with 34 in 23 balls. Former Yorkshire pacer Jack Brooks picked up 4 wickets but conceded 51 runs in his 4 overs with Samit Patel taking his 200th T20 wicket for Notts.

Looking to chase 183, Notts opener Alex Hales scored back to back half centuries with a knock of 53 in 35 balls this evening but the effort wasn't enough to take Notts over to victory. The experienced Colin Munro batting at 3 added 84 runs for the 2nd wicket with Hales scoring 46 in 41 balls.

After losing 3 wickets, Matthew Montgomery kept the hopes alive with a brisk knock of 28 in 19 balls but failed to find enough support and enough boundaries to take the team home as Tom Moores (15* off 15) and Lyndon James (11* off 5) found it difficult to chase 20 runs in the final over.

Dom Bess opened the innings and was the most economical bowler conceding just 31 in his 4 overs but David Wiese was the pick of the bowlers with 2/32 to his name. Jordan Thompson (1/33) and Ben Mike (1/18) were the other wicket takers.

Notts have a day for them to ponder upon this game whereas Yorkshire take the field again tomorrow against Lancashire at home in Leeds.

19.6 J Thompson to T Moores
0 Big swing and a miss! Good length into the pitch angled across from the off stump. Moores clears his front leg and swings across making no connection.
19.5 J Thompson to T Moores
2 Full on the leg stump. Moores gets on the front foot and drills this hard down the ground past Thompson. Shan Masood covers some ground to his right at long on and saves the boundary. The batters rush back for the second.
19.4 J Thompson to L James
1lb Full toss hitting the pad but angled in. James goes for a swipe in the leg side getting down on a knee but misses. A leg bye is taken as the ball rolls to backward point.
That was a much-needed boundary for Nottinghamshire... They need 12 runs in 3 balls.
19.3 J Thompson to L James
6 SIX!! Smoked over long on! Thompson misses his length and bowls in the slot outside the off stump. James picks this up nicely getting on the front foot and smashes off the middle of the bat over long on for a maximum!
19.2 J Thompson to T Moores
1 Full and on the pads. Moores swings hard clearing his front leg but makes no connection with the bat and gets hit on the pad to rush across for another single.
19.1 J Thompson to L James
1 Over the wicket. Attempted yorker on the off stump, flicked to short fine leg for an easy single. Notts need boundaries now, singles won't do the job.
Nottinghamshire need 20 runs in the 6 balls.

Jordan Thompson will bowl the final over.

18.4 B Mike to M Montgomery
W WICKET!! Mike gets his first of the evening in his final over. Full length delivery on the leg stump following Montgomery who shuffles down leg and gets on the front foot to drive the ball in the off side. Doesn't manage to keep the ball grounded and hits straight to Dawid Malan at extra cover taking this one low and in front of him.
