So, that's it from this encounter. Kent win the game by 7 wickets. There are two more T20 Blast games going on, you can switch tabs to join us there. For now, this is Anirudh Modi, singing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saipavan Janaki, alongside out scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal! See you on the next one!
1:10 AM IST | A thumping victory for Kent! They defeat a bamboozled Gloucestershire by 8 Wickets! They have outclassed their opponents in all 3 departments of the game and they will walk back to their dressing rooms with broad shoulders and heads held high!

Gloucestershire won the toss and elected to bat first, and how that decision has backfired! It all started with the early loss of Roelofsen, followed by an untimely dismissal of Hammond. The Men in Yellow lost two wickets in the powerplay but thanks to Dent's powerful innings, they stood at a decision position at 41/2 after the first 6 overs.

Dent went onto score a fantastic 55 off just 29 deliveries but that's all his team had to celebrate today. Apart from Dent, only two other batters made it to double digits in their innings with the highest score being 12! Kent ran through the batting order of Gloucestershire to end their innings at 113 all out with Hogan being the pick of the bowlers by picking up 3/13 from his 3 overs.

Come the chase, Gloucestershire had early hope as they dismissed Muyeye early in the innings. However, Bell-Drummond and Denly were unfazed, the duo stitched together a brilliant 52 run-stand to put Kent in cruise control of the chase. The veteran Denly remained unbeaten at 35 runs off 31 balls and ensured Kent made it across the line.

He was ably supported by an end innings gem of a cameo by Cox, who smashed 38 runs off just 16 balls! In the end Gloucestershire were unable to put any pressure on their opposition as they cruised to victory. Smith was the lone warrior from the bowling end as his figures of 3/22 from his 4 overs provided hiccups in Kent's march towards victory.

A brilliant start to the season for Kent at their home ground, they will hope to build on this and make a strong case to win this tournament. Gloucestershire meanwhile will go back to the drawing board and hope to come back strongly in the next game!
