So, that's a wrap on our coverage of Match 61 of IPL 2023 which saw KKR win in Chepauk for the first time since May 27th 2012. We are into the final week of IPL 2023 and no team has officially qualified for the Playoffs. A cracking week and last 9 games awaits us all. Do join us tomorrow for Gujarat Titans vs Sunrisers Hyderabad from Ahmedabad. Stick around for more cricketing action across the globe in our network.

For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Hitesh Peddurwar, and Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Rinku Singh (Player of the Match): "Nothing much. Went in early. Rana bhai said to take it easy. Tough wicket and took the game deep. In domestic cricket, bat at Number 5 and 6 and attack as well. I get power from my muscles. I eat well. Thank you sir. I have put in lot of effort and that is bearing fruit. I am so happy with my performance."
Player of the Match: Rinku Singh
Nitish Rana(Kolkata Knight Riders Skipper): " Yeah, sir, As I said in the toss too, if we do well in the three departments then we can win the match. I think the credit goes to Chandu[Chandrakant Pandit] sir as he said me to take the heavy roller, I was not in favor of that though. I felt the heavy roller might break the pitch, but it went in our way as the pitch settled after the roller was rolled.

I wanna give credit to the spinners. The way they bowled, I was in doubt to give the four overs on a trot to Sunil but he said he will bowl and he scalped a wicket. It's gonna happen, because of the home and away games. I think every team has a home advantage except KKR. We play on good pitches and score 200 and 200+ runs and on the other day, we play on slower pitches, and the scores are low. I think this shows the real quality of the batter to adjust to all the conditions."

11:23 PM IST: Time for the post-match presentation.
Sunil Narine (Kolkata Knight Riders): "Probably the pitch was good. The ground in Chennai is one of the biggest in India and just tried to make use of the conditions. The pitches are good and an extra batter coming in the batting lineup helps the batting side. I think you always try to do things differently. It works sometimes and doesn’t work sometimes. I’m trying to keep things simple for now."
MS Dhoni (Chennai Super Kings Skipper): "I think it's one of those days where you win the toss and bat first and just when the first ball is bowled in the second innings, you get to know that it is a 180 wicket. The dew played a big part tonight. It didn't arrive in the first innings and the ball was gripping. Even 160-180 would have been a difficult one to chase. You can't blame anyone and it was the conditions. We have spoken a lot with Dube and let it stay in the dressing room. Hopefully, he will continue with the form and not get satisfied. Chahar has the experience and knows where to bowl. In games where you don't have many runs on the board, you have to get smarter while bowling and he has a good experience of knowing it."
11:08 PM IST: A complete all round performance from the Kolkata Knight Riders as they topple the Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets with 9 balls left. Nitish Rana hits the winning runs as they keep their slim hopes for qualification to the playoffs alive. CSK, on the other hand, misses out on the opportunity to book their place in the playoffs tonight. They will have to wait for next weekend to book their place in the last 4.

Chasing a paltry 145 for the win, KKR were off to a stuttering start as they lost Gurbaz, Venkatesh Iyer, and Jason Roy early in the powerplay. They were in trouble at 33/3 at one stage. But thereafter, it was the Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh show. Rana was given a life earlier on as Pathirana dropped him off Moeen Ali's bowling. Rana the skipper remained unbeaten on 57* off 44 balls. Rinku Singh scored 54 off 43 balls as the duo shared 99 runs for the fourth wicket to take the game away from CSK. Andre Russell was unbeaten on 2* as the target was achieved in 18.3 overs.

For CSK's bowling point of view, Deepak Chahar picked up the first three wickets to fall in the powerplay. The other wicket fell to a run-out. No wickets to the CSK spinners as the Rana-Rinku duo neutralized the spin threat of CSK. The KKR spinners outbowled the CSK spinners today.

Earlier in the game, after opting to bat first, CSK got off to a decent start in the initial overs before Ruturaj Gaikwad fell for 17. Devon Conway scored 30 off 28 balls. Ajinkya Rahane scored 16 off 11 balls. Shivam Dube was the star with the bat as his unbeaten 48* off 34 balls gave CSK some sort of a total to defend. Ravindra Jadeja struggled for his 20 off 24 balls. CSK never got going and ended with 144/6 in 20 overs which was about 20 runs short on that surface.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowlers for KKR with figures of 2/15 in 4 overs. He was ably supported by Varun Chakravarthy who finished with figures of 2/36 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Shardul Thakur and Vaibhav Arora. Suyash Sharma went wicketless today for a change. All in all, a great all round performance from the visitors.

So, this is KKR's first win over CSK in Chennai since the IPL final that was played in 2012. They deserve this win as they keep their slim hopes alive. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony that comes your way soon.
18.3 T Deshpande to N Rana
4 FOUR!!!! That's it... Kolkata Knight Riders have won this game by 6 wickets. Fuller-length delivery outside the off-stump line, angling away from the batter. It was a slower one by Deshpande this time. Rana throws his bat at it, he tries to drive it towards the covers region but gets a thick outside edge and the ball goes fine towards the deep third man region. The man at the deep backward point had no chance to stop the ball and it runs down towards the ropes.
