That's it from the presentation and from a stellar game of cricket. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators AkshayaKrishna Polya, Ayan Chatterjee and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more action from around the cricketing world.
Prabhsimran Singh (POTM): "There was nothing in my mind. We lost early wickets so I thought of taking it a bit longer. I am with the team since a long time and have learnt a lot from the seniors. I am getting back to back opportunities this season so I want to bank on it.

We lost wickets early on and the ball was turning so I wanted to stay there. Then I targeted my bowlers after spending some time. It is an important knock for me as I was waiting for a long time. The senior players have told me to go and make a big half century as well.

I have the same celebration in domestic cricket as well. I pray to the god and I am thankful to the management as well."
Prabhsimran Singh is the player of the match.
Shikhar Dhawan (Punjab Kings Captain): "Yep absolutely, I was thinking where the match was going. And the way the boys brought the game back was amazing. All the credit goes to the two young spinners.

It was a brilliant knock from Prabhsimran Singh. It was turning from the fourth over and I rate that knock very high. The way he played some of the shots to the slow spinners was superb.

Brar did a great job. I said to him after that first over to keep it on the stumps line and the pitch did the rest. It was wonderful to see him picking the wickets of the left-handers.

I am still young Harsha (chuckles). Yeah, I stay young with those young boys and it has been a wonderful journey. They are growing well and have taken the responsibility. Especially the way Rahul Chahar has bowled not only tonight as it was a turning track. Before as well, Chahar has bowled really well. We were confident and confident now as well. Hoping that we will do well in the remaining couple of matches."

11:19 PM IST: Time for the presentations.
Harpreet Brar (Punjab Kings): "Yes sir I enjoyed bowling on this surface. I went for runs in the first over, it was 13 runs. I was a bit nervous then. But found my lines and lengths later and came back nicely. Once the ball got a bit older, I read the batter's mind and bowled accordingly. It was not easy to start here. So thought of bowling more dot balls for the new batters. I was slower and allowed the batters to play on the back foot easily in my first over. DC had a great Powerplay but we came back nicely. As batters, bowlers also have partnerships. I and Rahul Chahar had the belief within us and it was a great bowling effort from us. He kept on bowling dot balls and I got the rewards by getting wickets.
David Warner (Delhi Capitals Captain): "We did. We wanted to restrict them to a low total. But the odd chances and Prabhsimran played well. We started well and then collapsed like hell. We deserved to lose. We have to play for pride and play with a smile on the face. We have to move on from a disappointing performance with the bat post the powerplay.  I think we had the right combination but it's just losing wickets at wrong time which has cost us. You cannot lose 4-5 wickets in a cluster and hope you win. We had to face that and paid the price. Hope now to finish the season on a high."
11:05 PM IST: The Delhi Capitals are now officially out of the reckoning of making it to the top 4 this season after getting a heavy defeat against the Punjab Kings by 31 runs here at their home base of Delhi. Prabhsimran Singh set the base of the victory hitting his maiden IPL ton putting the Kings at a modest total of 167/7 in the first innings.

The total looked modest until the powerplay of the second innings as David Warner (54 off 27) and Phil Salt added 65 in the first six without a scratch hammering the bowlers all around the park. Salt was the first to depart on the 2nd ball after the powerplay, Harpreet Brar getting his first of four wickets, a magnificent spell.

Brar and Rahul Chahar destroyed the Capitals batting order reducing them to 88/6 in 10.1 overs bringing the Kings back in the game. There were 5 single digit scores in the run order with Rahul Chahar beating the batters on both the edges for fun.

Brar added Warner, Rilee Rossouw and then the impact player Manish Pandey in his checklist and claimed his first ever IPL 4-wicket haul finishing at 4/30. It appeared a completely different surface once the spinners came into play.

Chahar also got his best figures of this season finishing at 2/16 in 4 overs. The impact player Nathan Ellis deserves a mention as he got the wickets of lower order batters Aman Khan (16) and Praveen Dubey (16) as the duo added 30 runs for the 7th wicket.

The win has boosted the Kings to the sixth place in the points table just behind Rajasthan Royals who have the same number of points but are a shade better in the net run rate. The Capitals have lost 8 off their 12 matches and sit at the bottom of the table despite having one of the best and world class coaching staff a team could imagine.

Hang around for the post match festivities.
