That's it from all of us for this game. It was a thriller of a contest and the Titans finish on the winning side. Do join us next time as we will be back with cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentators Arijit Kundu and Ninaad Dixit and scorer Paras Yadav. Tata. Bye Bye.
Mohit Sharma (Player of the Match): "Did not think too much. I've played three years in Mohali, had a very good time so I was thinking the pitch will be at the slower side. The dew factor was in mind if we bowled in the 2nd innings. I thought of bowling variations but I was fortunate that Hardik was standing besides me. Whenever I was thinking to change, we would discuss and get to a clear vision. That's why we were probably a bit late.

You have to give your 100% when you train and when you practice. You have to create that sort of a scenario in the nets and bowl like that. You get to know who are you playing against and then you have to bowl accordingly.

Every individual has got a different role. I was clear in my mind that 85% of the time I will bowl after the halfway stage. I might get the new ball but I am told when I can do that. All the credit goes to the environment created by the coaching staff. The role is defined which is a very good thing."
Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans Skipper): "To be very honest, I wouldn't appreciate the game going this close. This is the beauty of the sport. The game is not over until it's all over. We have to get to the drawing board and make sure that games don't go this close.

We 60 required from 6 overs, we would have taken a few chances and not taken it to the last over. They bowled well in the middle overs. The wicket was good but due to the hardness of the wicket and the ground, the ball was holding a bit. I was not surprised. In the middle overs, Alzarri and Mohit bowled brilliantly.

Credit to Mohit. It's all hard work. He was with us last year and kept believing in himself and knew that his time will come. It would have been a tough pill to swallow if we had finished on the losing side tonight. I would like to finish the game early and I'm not a fan of taking the game to the last over."
Active catch of the Match: Alzarri Joseph (catch taken to dismiss Shikhar Dhawan)
Longest six of the Match: Harpreet Brar (89 meters six)
Most fours in the match: Shubman Gill (seven fours)
Most valuable asset of the Match: Shubman Gill
Game-changer of the Match: Shubman Gill
Electric Striker of the Match: Wriddhiman Saha
11:34 PM IST | Time for the post-match presentations...
Mohit Sharma is the player of the match.
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans): "I think the wicket got a bit challenging in the end. It was hard to hit the sixes with the old ball. It was difficult to clear the boundaries on the square side. So it was important to hit the gaps and get singles, doubles, and the odd boundaries. I feel, I should've finished the match. But I think Rahul Tewatia and Punjab Kings is a hard love story. It is just important to keep getting those singles, taking it ball to ball.

After their innings got over, we got to know that it would be easier to score runs with the hard ball. It was important to have a good powerplay. We ticked that box. We lost a bit of wickets in the middle. Loss in momentum when Hardik Bhai got out. Keep the singles, minimize the dot balls and that was the plan.

Even when he [Mohit Sharma] was bowling in the nets, he was looking good. He is very accurate with the yorkers with the old balls. I feel he bowled magnificently, with the old ball, which delivery to target. I think overall it was a good Gujarat Titans debut for him."
Shikhar Dhawan (Punjab Kings Captain): "We didn't put much runs over there. We didn't get the good start so we have to rectify that thing going forward.

If you see the number of dots ball. If a team plays 56 dots, it loses the game. Early wicket puts the team on the backfoot and we need to work on that.

Very very proud of the bowling unit because it was not a very big total and taking the game till death is tremendous and as a batting unit we need to put some more score to give more cushion to our bowling unit.

Liam Livingstone came for practice yesterday and pulled his muscle so maybe in another 3-4 days, he should be good to go."
11:20 PM IST: That’s it. Rahul Tewatia does it again for the Gujarat Titans. A scoop over short fine leg to collect a boundary and a fist pump from him. The Gujarat Titans beat the Punjab Kings by six wickets with one ball to spare. The game went down to the last over and the Titans managed to hold their nerves to get across the line. With this, the defending champions get back to winning ways whereas the Kings suffer two consecutive losses. It was another thriller of a contest and the Kings tried hard but couldn't finish on the winning side.

Chasing 154, the Titans got off to a rollicking start, thanks to their openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. Both came out all guns blazing and hit boundaries for fun up front. Saha scored 30 off 19 balls before Kagiso Rabada sent him back to pick up his 100th IPL wicket. The Titans were 56/1 at the end of the fielding restrictions.

Shubman Gill was joined by in-form Sai Sudharsan. Both kept ticking the scoreboard and found boundaries at regular intervals. Arshdeep was brought back into the attack and he broke the 41-run stand by dismissing Sai Sudharsan on 19. Hardik Pandya departed on eight while trying to up the ante. Gill stood tall at the other end and played some wonderful strokes and brought up his fifty off 40 balls.

Gill was supported nicely by David Miller from the other end. The game went down to the wire and seven runs were required in the last over. Gill was cleaned up by Sam Curran on 67 on the second ball. With four required from two balls, Rahul Tewatia scooped one over short fine leg to collect a boundary and take his side across the line.

Earlier, Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bowl first. They had a very good start as Mohammed Shami removed Prabhsimran Singh on a duck in the very first over. In-form Shikhar Dhawan played two gorgeous drives before departing on eight. Matthew Short looked solid at the crease and helped his side score 52 at the end of the powerplay.

Short scored 36 off 24 balls and was looking set for a big score before getting cleaned up by Rashid Khan. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was struggling for timing and Jitesh Sharma played aggressively from the other end and tried to shift the momentum back towards them but fell on 25, giving Mohit Sharma his maiden wicket on his debut for Gujarat Titans.

Pandya rotated his bowlers brilliantly as he didn’t allow the Kings’ batters to settle in. Rajapaksa’s painful knock came to an end when he departed on a 26-ball 20. Shahrukh Khan played a fantastic cameo of 22 off 9 balls in the end to power his side to 153/8. Each of the Titans’ bowlers picked up at least a wicket, with Mohit Sharma finishing with figures of 2/18 in his four overs.

Stick around for the post-match presentation.
And Rahul Tewatia🔥!! You never know how this man finds himself in such situations. The Iceman rides the Titans over the line.
19.5 S Curran to R Tewatia
4 FOUR RUNS!! Rahul Tewatia does the job again!! Sam Curran misses the yorker and bowls a half volley outside the off stump. Great anticipation from Rahul who shuffles across and scoops this over the short fine leg fielder's head for four runs! One bounce and four! Gujarat Titans hold their nerve and Tewatia pumps his chest!
Rabada having a long conversation with Curran.
Myaaan Oh Myaaaan!! A breathtaking yorker from the left-arm pacer. Miller, one of the renowned finishers of the world fails to connect it well. Somehow manages to drag himself towards the non-striker's end.
19.4 S Curran to D Miller
1 4 off 2! 135.7kph. Yorker on the leg stump. Miller gets hit on the back pad and scurries across. The ball rolls towards Jitesh Sharma who puts in an underarm throw but misses. Miller has hurt himself at the bowling end trying to put in a dive.
