Milestone
That is it from another GT win. They win 10 out of the 11 games chasing. They are a force nowadays. It's tough to stop them as anyone from the team is always there to steer them through. RR vs PBKS is the next game and that is tomorrow.

For now, this is me AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide, who, alongside our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live-action of this match. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it's a good night!
Sai Sudharsan (Player of the Match): "Thanks for backing me, Hardik. A little bit nervous as this is my first award. I was thinking of playing well and scoring most often. I was not under any pressure. The wicket was behaving a bit two-paced, sometimes skidding and sometimes keeping low. My plan was to take the game deep. Weathering the storm was very satisfying (facing Nortje). I played very late as the ball was seaming earlier."
Player of the Match: Sai Sudharsan
Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans Captain): "I mean it was really funny from the start. We don't know what exactly was happening in the powerplay. But it was fun. I guess we conceded a bit more in the powerplay. But we came back well. See, I back my decisions and take those on instincts. It came out well tonight. Most often the decisions come out well. Most of the time I punch first rather than taking the punch. The boys enjoyed the game and we tell the boys to do the same. That helps in getting the decisions right. Everyone puts their hands up whenever the opportunity arises. I am happy with that. I just leave the hard work to give us the result. Sudharsan is a very good player and batted terrifically tonight."
Active Catch of the Match: Rahul Tewatia
Longest Six of the Match: Axar Patel
Most Fours Hit in the Match: David Warner
Most Valuable Asset of the Match: Mohammed Shami
Game Changer of the Match: Rashid Khan
Electric Striker of the Match: David Miller
11:38 PM IST | Time for the post-match presentations...
David Miller (Gujarat Titans): "At times, you get jet lagged but not this time, and happy to get across the line. We were within the range. Just a matter of three sixes or 4 fours. So we were backing ourselves to chase it down. We started well last year and build momentum at the start of this season. We are making good clear decisions and it has helped us ace chases. A pretty relaxed environment to be honest with you. They love to get on the golf course but the calmness in the dressing room helps us succeed."
David Warner (Delhi Capitals Skipper): "I don’t think I was surprised by it but the ball was swinging a lot upfront. Losing three wickets in the powerplay was always going to be a struggle. But the way the lower order batted is a learning for us. We have got six games here and we have to learn from our mistakes. The bowlers bowled extremely well. Sai came out and played extremely well. Miller also did his thing. Axar didn’t get a bowl tonight because of the wicket and the matchups. Kuldeep bowled because of his wrong’uns and Marsh also did a good job."
GT won the toss earlier in the evening and opted to field first. Mohammed Shami, the new ball bowler of the Titans, started off with an eventful over as he cut David Warner in half with beautiful seam movements both ways, apart from being wayward sometimes. Despite looking scratchy, Warner scored runs in the powerplay. Shami continued bowling with terrific seam positions and gave DC heartbreak with the double strikes of Prithvi Shaw(7 off 5) and Mitchell Marsh(4 off 4) well inside the field restrictions.

Warner and Safaraz Khan added 30 runs for the third wicket and tried to rebuild, but a fiery spell from Alzarri Joseph in the middle overs shattered the momentum of DC. He bowled Warner(37 off 32), while in the very next ball, Joseph bounced out Rilee Rossouw for a golden duck to leave DC reeling at 67/4.

Debutant Abhishek Porel impressed everyone but couldn’t stay at the crease for a long time as spin wizard Rashid Khan castled the young southpaw. But before getting out, Porel(20 off 11) stitched 34 runs for the fifth wicket alongside Sarfaraz(30 off 34), who struggled to get going in the entire match and was also taken care of by Rashid Khan.

It was Axar Patel(36 off 22) in the slog overs who gave a good finishing to the innings with a quick-fire knock but was out in the 20th over. Anrich Nortje(4* off 2) scored a boundary off the last delivery to push the score past 160 as DC posted 162/8 in their allotted 20 overs.

For GT, it was once again, Rashid Khan with impressive figures of 4-0-31-3 was the successful bowler and Mohammed Shami, despite being a tad expensive, scalped three wickets, while Alzarri Joseph picked two wickets and was really aggressive in the middle overs.
Chasing a competitive score, GT openers Shubman Gill(14 off 13) and Wriddiman Saha(14 off 7) started off decently, adding 22 runs for the first in a quick time. But Anrich Nortje's fiery spell in the powerplay uprooted the stumps of both the openers. Hardik Pandya(5 off 4), who came at number 4, couldn't add much to the tally and was caught behind by a beauty bowled by the impact player of DC Khaleel Ahmed in the final delivery of the field restrictions and GT were reduced to 54/3 after 6 overs.

Then B Sai Sudharsan and GT's impact player Vijay Shankar batted really well to calm the nerves of the dugout with a traditional batting approach. Both added a crucial 53-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Mitchell Marsh removed Shankar(29 off 23) in the 14th over as the latter was trapped plumb infront while attempting a nothing shot of the seamer.

Following this, David Miller hammered two sixes and a four in the 16th over bowled by Mukesh Kumar and killed the contest. Miller(31* off 16) and Sudharsan(62* off 48) were involved in an unbeaten partnership of 56 runs for the fifth wicket and sealed the deal for the visitors. Amidst this, Sudharsan was impressive and with a ramp over the keeper off Nortje completed his second IPL fifty.

DC used only five bowlers and didn't give Axar Patel a chance with the ball. While Nortje was brilliant with a couple of wickets, Khaleel Ahmed and Mitchell Marsh scalped a wicket. The rest of the bowlers weren't able to help Warner and were inefficient to defend the total.
11:22 PM IST | A comfortable victory for Gujarat Titans here in Delhi as they win 10 of the 11 games in IPL where they chased a target! GT win by 6 wickets with 11 deliveries left in the game and Hardik Pandya and co are continuing from where they left off last season.
18.1 M Marsh to D Miller
2 A slower delivery on off from round the wicket, Miller works it with soft hands in the square leg region and scampers back for the second. A fumble from the fielder in the deep allows Miller to get home. With this, the Gujarat Titans beat the Delhi Capitals comprehensively by six wickets and make it two in two in IPL 2023.
