That's it from our coverage of the first ever and a historic Women's Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Arijit Kundu and scorer Raju Khariya as Mumbai Indians create history at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Harmanpreet Kaur collects the first ever WPL trophy! The whole squad and the support staff join her to celebrate with the cup! It is curtains for this edition of the Women's Premier League.
Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians Women Captain): "I think it was a great experience for all of us. We were waiting for this for a long time. Everyone in the dressing room enjoyed it. Yes, it feels like a dream. Not only for me, not only for us but also for the crowd.

Everyone was asking about WPL when it's starting and when it's coming. It's here. We had a long batting lineup, so I believe we had to go there and express ourselves. I'm very pleased with how everyone performed. I think staying positive was the main thing for us. We bowled a lot of full tosses but it went our way.

I think it's a special moment for me and for us. I have been waiting for this for a long time. It's been a great experience for me, and I am now looking forward to the next one. You know we were speaking about being positive, and we followed through on our plans admirably, which is why I'm standing here today."
Harmanpreet Kaur receives the winner's cheque.
Charlotte Edwards collects the winner's award on the team's behalf.
Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals Captain): "We would have like to win tonight but full credit to Mumbai Indians they were brilliant tonight. We didn't play our best cricket but we fought till the end and I am proud of the whole unit. We weren't thinking of a target as such but we would have like to put a few more. Just quite couldn't get over the line tonight.

We had a really good powerplay and the first 10 overs but Harmanpreet and Nat Sciver did really well to take the game away from us tonight."
Meg Lanning collects the runners-up award.
The match officials will receive the tournament mementos.
Hayley Matthews: "I am really happy to contribute to this team. I am glad to contribute on both ends of the field (with the bat and ball). It's been great to be good with both aspects of the game. Trying to improve all the time, and the conditions help my off-spin. It is important to take the award, but it is even more satisfying to win with the Mumbai Indians. Whichever (batting or bowling) is better on that particular day."
Most Valuable Player: Hayley Matthews (Mumbai Indians)
Orange Cap: Meg Lanning (most runs in the tournament, 345 runs)
Purple Cap: Hayley Matthews (for bagging the most number of wickets this season- 16 off them)
Catch of the Season: Harmanpreet Kaur (catch to dismiss Devika Vaidya fielding at slips)
Meg Lanning of Delhi Capitals and Harmanpreet Kaur of Mumbai Indians collect the Fair Play Award of the Season as both teams are the joint winners.
Emerging Player of the Season: Yastika Bhatia
Powerful Striker of the Season: Sophie Devine (Amelia Kerr collects the award on behalf of Devine)
Natalie Sciver-Brunt (Player of the Match): "It was very special. I am glad I was able to stick it out when the pressure was out and to play till the end was really special. I was finding it quite tough and Harman was sweeping away to a good total. Amelia also in the end did well and we crossed the line.

I guess the last 3 or 4 overs we gave away a lot many runs than we would have liked. It means everything and guess at the start of this competition I didn't really expect but it is quite special to be standing here."
Player of the Match: Natalie Sciver-Brunt
Powerful Striker of the Match: Radha Yadav
