That's it from us for the night. We will be back tomorrow for more. Do join us then. Till then it's a goodbye from everyone here. Sleep well and see you.
Theunis de Bruyn | Pretoria Capitals captain: "Nice to win, to be honest we would have liked to keep them out and face the team that gave us a hiding the other day, but we are happy to be in the semi-final. Will assess tomorrow. These playoff games are different and we need a special effort from the guys. Mendis has been playing superbly since he came in for Jacks and hopefully he can do that tomorrow as well."
Kusal Mendis (Player of the Match): "Very happy with my innings. I and Salt started very well in the first six overs. We played well throughout the innings. We are doing great as a batting group and scored well in the last five overs. Our team is good. We know each other very well and know what to do."
Kusal Mendis is the Player of the Match.
David Miller (Paarl Royals Skipper): "I mentioned at the toss that we wanted to win the game but a big total and wickets lost upfront made us hard to get going. So eventually, qualifying was the aim. We bowled badly and have to look at it tomorrow. It was not a great game for us and have to step up tomorrow. We have got match-winners and Buttler played a fantastic knock. He showed great class and maturity to get across the mark. Different conditions tomorrow. It's a new game and we will have to improve before coming out tomorrow."
Time for the post-match presentation.
Paarl have qualified for the semis and will play the same opponents in the semi-final. They huffed and puffed but got to 163 which enabled them to qualify.

But Pretoria win the game convincingly. Chasing such a big score, Paarl needed Jason Roy and the others to come up big but Nortje took care of Roy.

Buttler came in and struggled for any sort of fluency, he was lucky as well on a number of occasions and survived his way through.

Wickets fell at the other end but he soldiered on and at the end when it was time to get to 163, he opened out and hit the biggies to push his side closer.

He fell just before he completed the game but Fortuin with a handy boundary and then a fumble from Salt got Paarl over the line.

There were nervous faces all around the Paarl camp when it was getting tight but they were relieved when they knew they had qualified.

Earlier, the Capitals were asked to bat first. Philip Salt and Kusal Mendis came out all guns blazing and got their team off to a flying start. Salt scored 39 off just 21 balls to help his side score 71 at the end of the powerplay. Theunis de Bruyn and Rilee Rossouw struggled to get going and departed on 12 and 13 respectively. Colin Ingram joined Mendis who was looking in fine touch.

Mendis played some fantastic shots and brought up his fifty. Ingram also joined the party and started building a partnership for the Capitals. Mendis scored 80 off 41 balls before departing in the 17th over. James Neesham joined Ingram and both hit some lusty blows in the end. Ingram was out on 41 but not before helping his side finish with a flourish. Neesham remained unbeaten on 22 as they posted 226 on the board. The Royals picked up five wickets in total, with Lungi Ngidi finishing with two.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation...
