Phew!!! What a thrilling game we just witnessed. We will have a new winner in the Women's Hundred as the Oval Invincibles Women got knocked out of this year's competition.

It's time for me to take your leave. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Bishal Mandal. Until next time, cheers and goodbye.
Georgia Adams (Hero of the Match): "Obviously it feels great. A special day for Anya Shrubsole who was playing her last game at the Ageas Bowl and happy to get the win.

The knock from Freya Kemp was fantastic. Took the pressure off me. She hits the long pockets and she has been working hard this season.

I have been told in the past that I haven’t taken my bowling seriously. It’s nice to take the all-rounder status as I can contribute in both departments.

It feels great to get a win over such a strong side. To get a win like that, it’s good to take the momentum heading into the knockout stages of the competition."
Hero of the Match: Georgia Adams
9:29 PM IST, 4:59 PM Local Time: The Oval Invincibles Women, the defending champions, are out of the Women's Hundred 2023. And guess what, the runners-up of the last edition, Southern Brave Women have done the job of knocking out the defending champions. Another thriller of a game and the Southern Brave Women beat the Oval Invincibles by seven wickets.

Chasing 131 was always going to be a tricky one for the hosts. Marizanne Kapp dismissed in-form Smriti Mandhana early in the innings on 2. Danielle Wyatt also struggled with her timing and got cleaned up by Nadine de Klerk on seven right after the powerplay. Maia Bouchier was joined by Georgia Adams and started rebuilding the innings.

Bouchier and Adams put 38 between them before the former was dismissed on 22. Freya Kemp came out all guns blazing and played some beautiful strokes. She along with Adams hit some boundaries and brought down the required run rate under control. They kept finding regular boundaries and kept the Oval Invincibles at bay.

Adams along with Kemp put a match-winning partnership as their 73-run stand took the Southern Brave Women across the line with four balls to spare. Adams and Kemp remained unbeaten on 50 and 41 respectively as they knocked the defending champions out of the competition.

The Oval Invincibles Women had won the toss and opted to bat first. They got off to a shaky start as they lost both their openers Lauren Winfield-Hill (2) and Alice Capsey (0) early in their innings. Skipper Suzie Bates along with Marizanne Kapp led the recovery work as they reeled 25/2 at the end of the powerplay. Both Bates and Kapp kept ticking the scoreboard and put a solid stand for the third wicket to keep the Brave Women at bay. The 53-run stand came to an end as Kapp fell on 27.

Bates was joined by Paige Scholfield and both scored at a brisk rate. Bates continued playing aggressively and brought up her fifty. Scholfield hit some lusty blows as both stitched a 63-run stand between them off just 39 balls. Scholfield departed on 30 off 17 balls and Bates fell soon on 55 as it helped them post 130 on the board. The Brave Women picked up six wickets in total.

6 SIXXX!!!!! Freya Kemp finishes things in style. The Rose Bowl crowd erupts as the Southern Brave Women knock out the defending champions out of the competition. This was a length delivery outside off, Kemp shuffles across the stumps and hoicks it over the leaping deep mid wicket fielder for a maximum. With this, the Southern Brave Women beat the Oval Invincibles Women by seven wickets.
The Southern Brave Women require 5 runs from 5 balls.

Eva Gray has been handed the responsibility of bowling the last set.
