Hero of the Match: Tara Norris
10:09 PM IST, 5:39 PM Local Time: End of the match and the London Spirit Women keep themselves alive in the competition by beating the Oval Invincibles Women by 21 runs. Their bowlers were brilliant while defending 119 and they knocked over the Invincibles Women on 97 to win the game convincingly by 21 runs. With this, the Spirit Women grabbed their first win of the tournament.

Chasing 119, the Oval Invincibles Women got off to a shaky start as they lost Lauren Winfield-Hill (3) early in the innings. Alice Capsey started aggressively before falling on 11. Suzie Bates along with Marizanne Kapp kept them in the chase but the former struggled for timing. She never got going and the required run rate crept up. Bates scored 24 off 35 balls before departing.

Kapp played some good shots and kept her side in the hunt. She scored 30 off 24 balls but fell while trying to up the ante. None of the other batters contributed as the Invincibles Women kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually got dismissed on 97 on the last ball of the match to lose the game by 21 runs.

Amelia Kerr of London Spirit bowled beautifully and picked up three wickets. Charlie Dean and Tara Norris also chipped in with two scalps each as they completed a fantastic performance with the ball in hand to defend a below-par total to register their first win of the Women's Hundred 2023.

Earlier, the London Spirit Women didn't have the best of starts after being asked to bat first. They lost three wickets inside the powerplay. Danielle Gibson looked good at the crease but was dismissed on 22. They were reeling at 53/6 at one stage before Sarah Glenn and Charlie Dean built a solid partnership.

Glenn along with Dean put 31 between them to resurrect the innings. The Invincibles Women bounced back and picked up wickets in quick succession but Lauren Filer and Tara Norris refused to give up. Both Filer (21*) and Norris (11*) stitched a brilliant partnership of 31 for the last wicket as it helped the London Spirit Women get to 118 at the end of their innings. The Oval Invincibles Women bowled brilliantly but they failed to step up with the bat as they failed to chase down the total.

96b A Kerr to M Villiers
1W Short from Kerr and pulled away towards deep mid wicket. The batters try to take two runs but Gibson in the deep is quick to get to the ball. She fires in a very good throw at the striker's end where Ghosh collects it and dislodges the bails to run out Villiers who is well short of the crease.
