Vijaykumar Vyshak joined Nikin Jose in the crease and the pair built up a partnership
of runs but their efforts were cut short when Vijaykumar Vyshak departed for 20 off 49.
Nikin Jose gets to his 1st hundred in First Class and departed as the last wicket
at 109 runs off 161 with the help of
9 fours. Karnataka Bundled out at 234 at 58.2 overs.
Great day for the Saurashtra bowlers as they picked 6 wickets in
the first session. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja and Chetan Sakariya were the
picks of the bowler as they both extracted 4 wickets each. Parth Bhut celebrated
with a couple of wickets.
Saurashtra started the innings before lunch with Harvik Desai and Snell Patel and they played only 2 overs. After Lunch, The Saurashtra batter resumed
innings at 1/0 on board. But the Karnataka bowlers are extremely well
at the start of the session and picked the wicket of Patel in the first over of
the session.
Desai and Jadeja built up a partnership of 19 runs for the 2nd wicket before Desai departed at 11 off 30. Jadeja looked good in the middle but failed to convert into the big innings as he departed at 17 runs. Saurashtra lost 5 wickets at the stage of 42 runs on board.
Then, skipper Arpit Vasavada and Chetan Sakariya, both took charge and handled the innings very well and put up a partnership of 63 runs for the 6th wicket. Chetan Sakariya went off at 24 off 48 with the help of 3 sixes. Skipper Arpit Vasavada held the innings and played sensibly in the middle and stayed unbeaten at 47 runs off 51 balls and took his team toward victory. Saurashtra chase down 115 runs in the second innings with 4 wickets in hand.
Then Karnataka bowlers were hitting great in the
middle and hit hard lines and lengths and picked 5 wickets at the start of the session but in the end, they failed to take wickets for their team. Gowtham hit hard lengths and scalped three wickets. Koushik also took the three wickets.
