That's all from here for now. We have more action. Keep following this platform for all the action. See you soon. Bye for now.
Shadab Khan | Islamabad captain: "I thought both teams were looking to lose tonight I guess, but we played better and won. But lots to learn, our bowling let them score 180 and we collapsed while batting but cricket is a game where we can learn a lot. As a senior player and captain I take responsibility for both my bowling and batting tonight. I played an irresponsible shot and did not bowl well. The main concern was about me in those departments. At the end of the day, if we get 2 points that's what matters. This year we don't have the bowling to limit other sides to low totals. If you are looking for an excuse you can say that. The physio says it will take time as all 3 departments you are involved in and often the ball hits the same finger. No excuses but still the recovery is going on."
Fazalhaq Farooqi | Player of the Match: "Our plan was simple, we tried for wickets if there was help and we tried and got the results. I got swing early on and took 3 wickets. There are a lot of Pathans in the Islamabad team and we go out a lot and it feels nice."
Fazalhaq Farooqi is the Player of the Match.
Sarfaraz Ahmed (Quetta Gladiators captain): "Actually, Nawaz, Najeeb, and Umar gave us the momentum at the back end that allowed us to come back beautifully. The fielding phase of a T20 game is vital; if we had taken advantage of our opportunities, the outcome would have been in our favour. Players who performed well under pressure would have been happier if they had finished on top. We needed to take wickets from where we started and ended, or the outcome might have been different. We could have won the game if we had carried out our intentions with the ball in the final seconds, but we didn't. We'll make an effort to win the remaining games."
Azam Khan: "There were a lot of twists, the way Munro opened the game, which we felt we had won before we lost a few wickets and had to take it deep. Faheem also performed admirably. I usually play as a floater, even in the last game when I entered at number 5 and today at number 6, and I'm really grateful for the franchise and how it supports me. We're overjoyed to have made it to the playoffs, and you know how Nawaz and Najeeb played—starting at 19-4 and finishing at 180—so we tried to limit them but were unable since we had a strong, deep batting lineup. It was a game of life or death; if we won, we would place in the top two."
Islamabad win and qualify for the playoffs. Celebrations in their camp and desperation from Quetta. Gurbaz went early but Munro was batting on another level tonight. He smoked everyone apart from Naseem Shah and took the attack to the opponents.

But three quick wickets turned the game as Islamabad slipped from 96 for 2 to 102-5 and that gave Quetta a chance to come back into the game.

Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf got together after Asif Ali fell cheaply and concentrated on taking the game deep. Sarfaraz had to use up Naseem Shah to get one of the two but the duo played him out and then attacked the others.

Asif took two wickets in the 19th over to provide the setting for a tight finish but Faheem Ashraf pounced on a slew of slower ones from Odean Smith to finish the game on a high with a hat-trick of fours.

Quetta did not have the luck early on as a couple of swipes from Munro fell out of reach and that assault combined with the deep batting of Islamabad took the capital side home.

Stay tuned for the presentations...
