That’s a wrap from our side as well. Thank you for joining us from all around the globe. This is Prince Suman signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorer / Analyst Manish Bishnoi. Do join us for the other fixtures across the globe. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.

Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain and Player of the Match): "Yes, in my opinion, Rashid came in and made us strong. We aimed at 170-180 as that was a good score. I think the way Fakhar and Tahir Baig started, we knew we would get to a good total. Tahir batted well as a youngstar. Shai Hope was great. My best wishes to him for beind West Indies captain as he leaves tomorrow. So, happy with the batting and the bowling was great. It makes my job easier as captain having such a potent bowling effort. My main aim is to keep things simple and help everyone as the leader of the team. So, hope to continue this winning feeling and momentum in the coming matches."
Time for the presentations.
Sarfaraz Ahmed (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "Definitely, with the ball we gave away too many runs. We did not start well and that put the pressure on us. The pitch was better today, but we played badly. Jason was the biggest positive for us but one player did not come due to NOC issues and we are hurting. We have to improve on the areas that we are lacking and hope to come back stronger."
David Wiese: "It's a team that has backed me and I love coming back and performing for the team. It's a dig at my old age and let the youngsters doing their job. I think I am enjoying myself. I think the slower balls and back of the length balls work. The pitch is getting slower. We were bad in the last game and we have responded well to do well here. Happy with the win."
11:09 PM IST| Prince: Ruthless Lahore Qalandars annihilated Quetta Gladiators. A brilliant display of batting, followed by a demolition bowling performance by  Lahore Qalandars helped them to win this match by 63 runs.🎉🎉🎉

In pursuit of a hefty total of 199 runs, the Quetta Gladiators started on the worst possible note as they lost Abdul Bangalzai’s wicket on the first over of the innings. Jason Roy joined Martin Guptill at no 3 and both batters faced a daunting challenge from Shaheen Afridi. Jason Roy opened his hands with 3 sixes in the 5th over against Haris Rauf and posted 49 runs in the powerplay. Both batters stitched a much-needed partnership of 47 runs. However, David Wiese broke this partnership by dismissing Guptill for 15(18).

Mohammad Hafeez alongside Jason Roy started rotating strikes sensibly but it was Rashid Khan who brought the Lahore Qalandars into the game by dismissing Jason Roy. Iftikhar Ahmed was the next to bat but was unable to settle at the crease and sent him back to the pavilion soon. Following Iftikhar's wicket, the run rate went above 14 per over which forced Gladiators’ batters to try big short which caused a flurry of wickets in the middle and  Lahore Qalandars bowler restricted Quetta Gladiators to 135 runs and won the match by 63 runs.

Jason Roy was the top run-scorer for Quetta Gladiators as he scored 48 runs off 30 balls including 1 four and 5 sixes. On the flip side, Shaheen Afridi and David Wiese extracted 3 wickets each, while Rashid Khan and Sikandar Raza extracted a solitary wicket each.

After being invited to bat first,  Lahore Qalandars got off to a flying start. Mirza Tahir Baig and Fakhar Zaman accelerated from the first over and posted 49 runs in just 4.3 overs. However, Odean Smith broke this partnership as he trapped Fakhar Zaman behind the wicket. They posted 65 runs for loss of 2 wickets in the powerplay.

Shai Hope 47(32) was the top run-scorer for Lahore Qalandars, while Hussain Talat scored 26(13), and  Sikandar Raza's cameo of quick 32*(16) helped  Lahore Qalandars to post a mammoth score of 198 runs.

From the bowling point of view, the Gladiators went the distance. A couple of wickets apiece for Qais Ahmed and Odean Smith. Mohammad Hasnain bowled decently for his 1/32 in 4 overs. Mohammad Nawaz picked the other wicket to fall. Naseem Shah was taken to the cleaners and went wicketless today.

A comprehensive win for Lahore Qalandars and they will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches. On the other side, Quetta Gladiators need to regroup and come back stronger in the upcoming matches.
