Well that's all from today folks! Quetta Gladiators are off the mark in the tournament and it will be fascinating to see their journey! This is Anirudh, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Srivathsa and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav.

Stay Tuned for more PSL action! See you on the next one!
Sarfaraz Ahmed | Quetta Gladiators Captain: "We had the belief at the halfway stage that we could defend the total. The bowlers bowled brilliantly, specially in the last 3 overs. It is important to get some early momentum in the league and we hope Guptill continues his great form. It is not easy to bowl in the second innings but our bowlers were spot on with the execution and that made my job easy."
Martin Guptill | Player of the Match: "After being 4 down in 7 overs is never ideal and to be able to do that in the end, big credit goes to Iftikhar, I tried to stay as deep as possible and that's what I tried to do. I tried to be positive and it was a difficult wicket to bat on."
Martin Guptill is the player of the match.
Shoaib Malik is the batter of the match.
Imad Wasim | Karachi Kings Captain: "We bowled really well in the first 6 overs, we should have restricted them under 160 but that did not happen. The drop catches and errors in the field hurt us the most. We are bowling well in the power play, but not backing up the middle overs."
11:19 PM IST: And with that Quetta Gladiators have sealed their first victory of the season by defeating the Karachi Kings by 6 runs! This one went right down to the wire in what was a battle between two seasoned veterans.

Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to bowl first, Imad Wasim got them off to a dream start by delivering a double wicket maiden in the first over of the match! He picked up one more during the power play to leave the Quetta Gladiators reeling at 25/3 after the power play.

But Martin Guptill had other plans, the Kiwi after a period of consolidation stitched together a crucial partnership with Iftikhar Ahmed first, and then went onto score a sensational maiden century in PSL to power his team to a total of 162/5 at the end of the first innings. Imad Wasim was the pick of the bowlers with 3/16 from his 4 overs.

Come the chase, the Quetta Gladiators too picked up a wicket in the first over but Vince's counter-attacking innings ensured the Karachi Kings ended the power play at 45/3. Shoaib Malik held up one end of the innings as two more wickets fell around him to put the Karachi Kings in a worrying position at 76/5 after 11 overs.

Shoaib Malik kept the fight on and he was well supported by Imran Khan. The legendary Pakistani batter went onto score an unbeaten 71 runs off 49 balls, but that was not enough as they fell short by 6 runs. Mohammad Hasnain was the pick of the bowlers with the eventual figures of 2/29 from 4 overs.

Quetta Gladiators will be ecstatic with their first victory of the season, while Karachi Kings will go back to the drawing board.
