Milestone
So that is it from this historical game from Bangladesh's point of view. They have already sealed the series 2-0. On the other, a lot to ponder about for England. For now, I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Megh Mandaliya and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it's cheers.
Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh Captain): "Yes, I thought we bowled really well. They had a really good start considering the conditions but we kept our nerves. Overall, it was a good team effort. Yes, in a tricky game like this, it was important for us to stay calm. I think Shanto really well and all the bowlers bowled really well. Miraz's cameo was also crucial for us."
Mehidy Hasan Miraz: "Definitely, I am very happy. I played a T20 match after a while, I am really happy to contribute to the team. Definitely, but I was confused about my role today but the team management backed me. They said, if a right-hander gets out, I need to go out to bat. If there is a ball to be hit, I needed to do exactly that. I bowled on the right areas. Yeah, that's where I got the wickets."
Player of the Match: Mehidy Hasan Miraz
Most Valuable Player of the Match: Najmul Hossain Shanto
Tiger of the Match: Mehidy Hasan Miraz
Jos Buttler (England Captain): "Yes, it was a different game of T20 cricket, and credit to Bangladesh was outplaying us. No batter ever wants to get out. It was a tough wicket to start the innings on and we needed someone to stay till the end. Ben Duckett was doing that really well and we needed someone to stick with him. I thought it was an outstanding bowling performance. We created pressure while defending a low total. Really proud of everyone's effort in the field but credit goes to Bangladesh."
6:01 PM IST | Time for the presentation ceremony...
5:45 PM IST | Taskin Ahmed with a couple of boundaries in the 19th over to seal the deal for Bangladesh as they create history here in Dhaka. Their first series against England in any format. They have defeated the World Champions by 4 wickets in the second match and have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 with a match in hand

Earlier in the match, Bangladesh won the toss and invited England to bat first. Jos Buttler pushed himself down the order and sent Phil Salt and Dawid Malan to open the batting. Apart from Salt (25 off 19), no one looked like get going for the side in the first ten overs. They were going well, 50/1 in the powerplay, but lost wickets in clusters and were reduced to 57/4 in no time. Ben Duckett (28 off 28) and Sam Curran (12 off 16) tried to rebuild the innings with a 34-run stand for the fifth wicket, but they again lost their way in the slog overs, losing wickets one after the other and got bundled out for just 117 runs in their 20 overs.

On the other hand, Shakib Al Hasan was smart with the bowling changes and kept the visitors at bay. He used eight bowlers according to the situation and rotated them perfectly. Mehdy Hasan Miraz (4-0-12-4) was the pick of the bowlers who, on his comeback, scalped four wickets. Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan and Hasan Mahmud scalped a wicket each.

Chasing a fairly stiff score on this sluggish track, Bangladesh didn’t start well, losing both their openers inside the powerplay. Najmul Hossain Shanto stayed there at the end and saw the team home with his unbeaten knock of 46 off 47 deliveries. He got good support from Towhid Hridoy (17 off 18) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (20 off 16), who played a handy cameo to bring the required run rate down by some margin. Jorfra Archer (4-0-13-3) came in and bowled with serious venom to dismantle the lower middle order of the hosts, but couldn't stop Bangladesh from scripting a history.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentations...
18.5 C Jordan to T Ahmed
4 FOUR MOREE! That will do it for Bangladesh. A historic series victory for them and they have once again overpowered the World Champions. Back of a length again and outside off again, Taskin accepts the width on offer again and slashes that towards deep extra covers again for a boundary to finish the proceedings in style. That is phenomenal and the home crowd is on their feet. Bangladesh defeats England by 4 wickets to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.
And that will mean Bangladesh needing just 2 more runs.
18.4 C Jordan to T Ahmed
4 FOURR! Taskin Ahmed is not going to hold on here. Back of a length and outside off, Taskin clears his front leg and slashes that towards the deep extra covers for a boundary.
6 runs needed to win from 9 balls.
18.3 C Jordan to Shanto
1 Short of a length again on the top of middle and leg, Shanto pulls that to deep square leg again for a single.
18.2 C Jordan to Shanto
2 Back of a length again on the leg peg, Shanto flicks that to deep square leg, where Rehan Ahmed fumbles that and allows the second to Bangladesh.
18.1 C Jordan to Shanto
4 FOUR! Jordan is greeted here with a boundary and the home crowd is jubilant. Back of a length delivery and on the top of the leg, Shanto swivels and pulls that towards deep backward square leg region for a boundary.
