4:09 PM IST|  So, India makes it to the finals and will be playing the winner of the second semi-final in the summit clash the day after tomorrow. This is all from the first semi-final; I am Probuddha Bhattacharjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar. Stay tuned for many more actions across the network.
Shafali Verma (India U-19 Captain): "Yeah, it feels really good to get the win and march into the finals. We tried to work on our mistakes. Both will work. First we will prepare and then celebrations."
Issy Sharp (New Zealand U-19 Captain): "Yeah did good but in the end, it wasn't our day today. It's been absolutely awesome. Thanks to them for all who had come to cheer us. Also would like to thank everyone who were at home to support us."
Parshavi Chopra (Player of the Match): "Yeah quite happy. Very happy to perform for my team. It feels good to get the wickets"
4:00 PM IST | Probuddha: India makes it!!!!!!! They are into the finals, and this time New Zealand have not been able to stop the Indian wagon. A comfortable win for India in the end by eight wickets and they are the first finalists of the inaugural edition of the Women's U-19 World Cup.

India won the toss and decided to bowl first in the match. They dominated the match from the very beginning picking up wickets in regular intervals. The first wickets fell for New Zealand for just five runs. After that, Isabella Gaze and Georgia Plimmer formed a 37 runs partnership and stabilised the ship for the New Zealand team somewhat. But as Gaze was dismissed at 42 runs in the event over of the match, things started to fall apart for the White Ferns. In the end, they managed to scored just 107 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs.

India came out to chase the total and lost their skipper very early. She scored 10 runs off nine balls and was dismissed when the team's score was 33 runs. After this Shweta Sehrawat carried the innings forward and, along with Soumya Tiwari ensured that there were no more slip-ups for the team. Sehrawat scored 61 runs off 45 ball and remained unbeaten guiding the team to a eight wickets victory.

India will now wait for the winner of the second semi-final to play them in the summit clash of the tournament.
