That’s a wrap from our side as well. We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide and Scorer/Analyst Zeeshan Naiyer, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Shakib Al Hasan (Fortune Barishal Captain & player of the match): "We had a wonderful discussion among ourselves about how to get better after the previous game. It didn't matter if we won or lost; what mattered was how we played. We demonstrated today what we are capable of knowing. Everyone gave their all today with a desire to win. From now on, every game is significant. Before the qualifications, we have two more games. It is crucial for us to finish in the top two if we win both of the remaining games. We gave every player in our roster an opportunity, so I'm really thrilled about that. Depending on the competition, we have a strong combination."
It's time for the post-match presentation.
Shai Hope (Khulna Tigers Skipper): "I don’t think batting first would have made any big difference. That’s how things go. We gave too many runs and scoring opportunities in the middle overs. We conceded too many runs in the last overs and gave them the momentum heading into the second innings. Hopefully, we will step up and get some wins in the coming games. I’m enjoying my time here."
5:05 PM IST | Deepak: 4-wicket haul from Karim Janat 💥has helped his side to defeat the Khulna Tigers by 37 runs. The losing streak continues for the Khulna Tigers.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Fortune Barishal posted a mammoth 194 runs in 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed was the top scorer for them as he amassed 51* runs and helped his side post a 194-run total in the end. On the other hand, van Meekeren was the standout bowler for the Tigers as he scalped three wickets but gave away 48 runs in 4 overs.

In pursuit of Barishal’s 194 runs, the Tigers got off to a shaky start as they lost Tamim Iqbal for just one run in the second over of the inning. Andrew Balbirnie and Shai Hope tried to steady the ship but their progress was halted when Andrew Balbirnie departed for 12 runs after forging a partnership of 44 runs for the second wicket. Mahmudul Hasan Joy failed to open his account today. He was soon followed by skipper Hope who was in sublime touch today but failed to convert it into a big inning and departed for 37 runs.

Yasir Ali and Nahidul Islam took responsibility to score some quick runs but their efforts were cut short when Nahidul Islam departed for 24 runs in the 18th over. However, Yasir Ali completed his half-century but failed to bat till the end and departed for 60 runs in the 18th over. Khulna Tigers lost a few wickets in quick succession in the end and were restricted to 157/8 in 20 overs.

On the other hand, Karim Janat was the star performer with the ball for the Fortune Barishal as he scalped 4 wickets and gave away just 29 runs in 4 overs. Khaled Ahmed chipped in with a couple of wickets and Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Shakib Al Hasan contributed one wicket each to the Tigers' downfall.

Stay tuned for the presentation....

19.6 K Janat to H Murad
0 A loud appeal and the finger is raised. This has been a brilliant spell of bowling from the Afghan pacer. Bowls it straight and full, Murad looks to flick it but misses and wears it on the front pad. A loud appeal and the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. Murad decides to try his luck and sends it upstairs.
19.5 K Janat to Meekeren
W Another one bites the dust. Janat bowls an off-cutter around off, Meekeren looks to slog it into the leg side but gets a leading edge and Iftikhar stationed at short third man dives forward to take a very good catch. Meekeren was completely deceived by the change of pace and he departs.
19.4 K Janat to M Deyal
1 A slower delivery on off, Deyal swings at it and gets an inside edge on his pads. The batters sneak a run as the ball rolls in the on side.
