Milestone
That brings us to the end of the coverage of this fantastic encounter between the Khulna Tigers and the Rangpur Riders. It was Rangpur Riders' day today as they sneaked away with a victory. Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Hitesh Peddurwar signing off along with my co-commentator Tugral Azmi and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Until then stay safe.
Nurul Hasan(Rangpur Riders Skipper): "It's a great comeback for us the way our bowlers bowled and Shoaib bhai batted really well. You know Omarzai bowled really well at the start. There was a bit of dew in the outfield and our fielders took all the catches. Shoaib bhai played really well we need to learn a lot from him."
Robiul Haque(Player of the match): " We know here it's difficult to keep the economy under control. Our bowlers did really well, we are just trying to bowl on the good lengths and our coaches, management and teammates help a lot in our journey. It is always tough but we are always trying our best."
Time for the post match presentation ceremony!!!
Yasir Ali (Khulna Tigers Skipper): "The bowlers performed a decent job. We were forming an alliance with Azam, but we still needed 20 more runs. Losing 2-3 early wickets is a serious setback. I ought to have exercised more accountability."
22:10 IST| Rangpur Riders have chased down the total in the final over. What a nail bitter we witnessed,  in the end, Riders held their nerves and sneaked away with the victory.....

Earlier in the game, Rangpur Riders 🏍️ won the toss and invited Khulna Tigers 🐯 to bat first.
Khulna Tigers were off to the worst possible start with the bat as they lost 3 wickets in powerplay and scored just 24 runs. Azam Khan and Yasir Ali steered the sinking ship as they glued a partnership of 58 runs for the 4th wicket. But all went in vain as they kept on losing the wickets at regular intervals. Khulna Tigers were bundled out on a total of 130 runs. Azam Khan was the top scorer for his team as he scored 34 runs.

Robiul Haque was the pick of the bowlers for the Riders as he scalped 4 wickets in his four-over spell. Azmatullah Omarzai, Hasan Mahmud, and Rakibul Hasan also chipped in with a couple of wickets each.

While chasing a paltry total of 131 runs, the Riders were off to a disastrous start as they lost 3 wickets in the powerplay at a score of 40 runs. Mohammad Sheikh and Shoaib Mailk took the mantle and steered the ship as they glued a partnership of 27 runs for the 4th wicket.

Sheikh departed after scoring 21 runs but Shoaib Malik held the fort pretty well as he kept the run rate ticking. He stitched a partnership of 32 runs with the skipper Nurul Hasan for the 5th wicket.

Malik was joined by Patwari in the middle. Malik put his foot on the paddle at the right time and scored at a brisk rate in the death overs. Malik departed in the penultimate over after scoring 44 runs off 36 balls.

Rangpur Riders needed 7 runs in the last over. Omarzai smashed the second ball of the last over for the six and made it easy for the Riders to chase it. Patwari played a short cameo of  16* runs off 10 balls.

Nasum Ahmed, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Saifuddin scalped a couple of wickets each for Khulna Tigers.

Stay tuned with us as we will be back with the post-match presentation ceremony.
