So, that's it from this game. Do join us tomorrow for the 30th game of the season as Sharjah Warriors will be in action in a must-win game against the Gulf Giants. Stick around to our network for more cricketing action across formats from around the world. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Prince Suman alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Dasun Shanaka (Player of the Match): "Yes, Raza and myself spoke about the partnership and are glad to do well. I love batting at 3 and thank the staff for giving me the opportunity to bat there. Yes, I enjoyed batting with Sikandar. Have batted with him quite a bit and was happy to help the win. Yes, we are in the tournament and will watch the last game with great interest tomorrow."
Dasun Shanaka is the Player of the Match.
Yusuf Pathan (Dubai Capitals Captain): "Yes, cannot ask for more. The bowlers stood up and the batters stood up as well. Happy with it. Yes, dew was a great factor and good for us. Yes, that partnership changed the game and they were brilliant. We will watch that game and enjoy it in the hotel and watch movies as well."
Nicholas Pooran( MI Emirates Captain): "This was a difficult one for us. On that wicket, we're going to fall short by 10-15 runs. Dew was also a factor. Having said that, Dasun and Raza performed admirably. I had two chances, one dropped by myself and the other by the LBW decision. There was a blunder there. When dew is present, it becomes much easier. We felt like we had control of the powerplay, but it became easier for the batsmen."
Time for the Post-Match Presentation.
11:05 PM IST: A comprehensive win for the Dubai Capitals as they win this game by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare. They keep their hopes alive for qualification for the playoffs. All eyes will be on tomorrow's game now. MI Emirates are already through to the playoffs and will not be hurt by much with this defeat. They rested a few players tonight. But this is the Capitals' night to shine.

Chasing a stiff target of 165 for the win, the Capitals got off to a decent start courtesy of their openers George Munsey and Robin Uthappa. The duo put on 44 for the first wicket before three wickets fell at the same score. Uthappa scored 29 while Munsey scored 14. Former skipper Rovman Powell went for a silver duck. But it was the Dasun Shanaka-Sikandar Raza show from thereon. The duo shared an unbroken stand of 122 to steer the side at home. Shanaka was unbeaten on 58 and Raza was unbeaten on 56. Both faced 36 balls. 9 extras were given by the fielding side as the victory was achieved in 18.1 overs.

Zahir Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/32 in 4 overs. Craig Overton bowled well for his 1/14 in 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers could not get a wicket and were taken to the cleaners as well. They were rendered ineffective by the Shanaka-Raza duo.

Put into bat first, MI Emirates lost Andre Fletcher and Bas de Leede early without contributing much to the total. Muhammad Waseem looked good for his 31 off 24 balls. Lorcan Tucker looked good for his 21 off 15 balls. The stand-in skipper for the evening Nicholas Pooran was the best batter for the Emirates. He scored 43 off 31 balls. Mousley scored 31 off 35 balls while Jordan Thompson scored a quick cameo of 16 off 8 balls. 10 extras were given by the fielding side as the Emirates ended with a competitive total of 164/7 in 20 overs.

For the Dubai Capitals, Jake Ball picked up 3 wickets but went for 37 runs as he bowled quite a number of no-balls. Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers with excellent figures of 2/24 in 4 overs. Sikandar Raza bowled well for his 1/29 in 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers bowled well on a used surface in Dubai.

So, a win by 7 wickets for the Dubai Capitals to keep their hopes alive in the playoffs. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way soon.
