Chasing 181, the Knight Riders started the inning with Paul Stirling and Joe Clarke. But lost the wicket of Stirling at the second ball of the inning. and they both did good work in the middle and built up a partnership of 34 runs in the 4 overs for the fifth wicket before
Russell departed at 42 off 22 with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes followed by Narine’s
(11 off 6) wickets at 130 on board. Esterhuizen struggled to take his team towards the victory
but failed and went off at 17 and at last Knight Riders are just 18 runs short
of the victory line as they bundled out at 162 in the 19.2 overs.
This was a good day for Emirates bowlers, Bravo bowled well for his team, gave away 37 runs in his spell, and picked three wickets while Zahoor Khan also did well with the ball and pocketed 2 wickets. Tahir scalped two wickets in his spell. Farooqi, Mousley, and Boult celebrated with 1-1 wicket each.
