That's the end of the game here in Dubai. Hope you have enjoyed all the action here at our network. For now, this is me Saipavan Janaki signing it off along with my co-commentator Tugral Azmi alongside our scorer Chandan Kr. Singh. Stay tuned for more coverage going on in our network, take care, stay safe , and enjoy!!!!
Sherfane Rutherford (Player of the Match): "I am glad to participate in this competition as a challenge for myself. A difficult surface to begin on. I had to wait till I saw Pathan, which had a fantastic matchup. My background includes my family, thus I see them most of the time. Hope they enjoyed this one."
Colin Munro (Desert Vipers Captain): "Yeah nice and get going to Sharjah (playoffs) and wanted to finish in the top two. We had done that now and hopefully we finish strong. Rutherford and Billings were really good. The pitch was similar to what we have been playing on earlier, maybe a bit extra dry. The bowlers were outstanding for us throughout  and hope will continue next games too."
Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals Captain): "We frequently bowled well. There were a few things we missed, but generally, the boys did well. The fact that we did take three wickets early is typically a good sign. It's admirable how the Vipers batted. It's challenging to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem. At the midway point, we may have had 15-20 runs too much, but our batting could have been better. It's simple to say in retrospect since Yusuf had already bowled three overs by that point (16th over), and the track was in his favor."
11.17 PM IST: With this, the Desert Vipers win this game by 22 runs. A solid win over Dubai Capitals. They were clinical in all three departments and rightly so bagged the eventual victory in the end.

Chasing 183, the Capitals started the inning with Robin Uthappa and George Munsey. But lost the wicket of Munsey at 11 runs on board. Uthappa took charge along with Raza and put in 31 runs for the second wicket before Uthappa departed at 30 runs off 21 balls. The Capitals scored 45 runs loss of two wickets in the powerplay.

Raza Joined Shanaka and they both did good work in the middle and built up a partnership of  46 runs in the 6.2 overs for the third wicket before Shanaka departed at 11 off 15 balls followed by Raza’s (41 off 32) wickets at 90 on board. Pathan failed to impress today as he departed at 5 runs.

Powell and Zampa both put up a partnership of 28 runs for the seventh wicket and Powell went off at 33 at the last Capitals are 23 runs short of the victory line as they ended the innings at 160/7 after the 20 overs.

This was a good day for Vipers bowlers, Cottrell bowled well for his team, gave away 36 runs in his spell, and picked two wickets while Wood also did well with the ball and pocketed 2 wickets. Hasaranga scalped one wicket in his spell. Curran and  Atkinson celebrated with 1-1 wicket each.

Earlier in the day, Dubai Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Vipers got off to a shaky start as they lost two wickets at 18 runs on the scoreboard. Billings joined Mustafa, both put a stand of 27 runs for the third wicket before Mustafa departed at 31 off 21 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. The Vipers posted 45 runs loss of three wickets in the powerplay.

Billings and Rutherford, both handled the inning very well. Billings and Rutherford brought up their respective fifties. Both put a stand of 80 runs for the fifth wicket before Rutherford departed at 50 off 23 balls with the help of 6 sixes.

Billings played a great knock of 54 runs off 48 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six. The Vipers finished the inning at 182/7 in the 20 overs.

From the Capital's point of view, Klaassen was the pick of the bowler, gave away 34 runs in his 4 overs, and pocketed 3 wickets. Pathan, Zampa, and Karunaratne celebrated with one each.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.

W CHOPPED HIM OVER! LUKE WOOD STRIKES AND THE POWER HITTER DEPARTS HERE! Good length delivery, on the top of the middle stump mark. He looks to swing to the leg side and misses it. The ball holds his line and clatters the middle peg. The seam position tells you the story.
