Chris Jordan( Player of the Match): "Qualifying as a team and squad is a great feeling. That was our main goal, and I'm glad we accomplished it. I'm delighted to contribute to the team. We had an experienced player in Hetmyer who was hitting the ball well, so it was all about having fun and hoping the bowler would miss at some point. And also believing in our ability to succeed. The ball seems to be coming out really well, and the bowling coach is doing a great job with me. May it continue indefinitely. I'm thinking clearly right now and carrying out my plans well."

Jams Vince ( Gulf Giants Captain): "Tight game than we had hoped. We did not get off to the best starts with the ball but then the bowlers fought back really well. It was a kind of pitch where the batters felt they could get more. Chris Jordan and Drakes with extra pace bowled well and picked crucial wickets. It means that we had to just chase 140 which still got tough in the end. We had wickets in hand, so there was always the belief that we could do it."

Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates Captain): "Yeah, we could have been a bit smarter in the last overs. 140 was a score that some teams struggled with, so we are in the end. We wanted to attack the bigger area of the ground and squeeze as much as possible. (Time-out calculations) that worked and were able to take it down to the last over. Used my trump cards earlier, and use Imran as an attacking option.Good efforts from the guys for the efforts."

11:28 PM IST| Prince: A good win for Gulf Giants as they beat the MI Emirates by 5 wickets and qualified for the next round.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, MI Emirates posted a formidable score of 139 runs for loss of 10 wickets in 19.5 overs against the strong bowling attack of Gulf Giants. Pooran was the top contributor for MI Emirates, as he scored 42 runs off 29 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 3 boundaries, while Muhammad Waseem scored 29 runs in 25 balls. On the flip side, Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowler as he extracted 3 wickets, while Dominic Drakes, David Wiese, and Rehan Ahmed chipped in with a couple of wickets for each.

In pursuit of the MI Emirates’ formidable score of 139 runs total, Gulf Giants got off to a decent start as they scored 35 runs without any wickets. Tom Banton and James Vince(26 runs off 25 balls) opened for Gulf Giants. They give a solid start but in 8.6 overs Imran Tahir took the wicket of James Vince and gave some pressure on Gulf Giants, But Chris Lynn alongside Gerhard Erasmus(20 runs off 16 balls) took charge and builds a solid partnership in the middle. After that Shimron Hetmyer( 13 runs off 8 balls) finished the game with a six. David Wiese(5 run off 4 balls) failed to impress with the bat. Tom Banton the top run-scorer for his team, scored 45 runs off 39 balls, while Chris Lynn scored 28 runs off 26 balls. On the flip side, Dwayne Bravo was the pick of the bowler he scalped 2 wickets, while Fazalhaq Farooqi and Jordan Thompson extracted a solitary wicket each.

A good win for Gulf Giants and they will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches. On the other side, MI Emirates needs to regroup and come back stronger in the upcoming matches.
