Adam Zampa (Player of the match): "It's nice to be here. I'm still a little jet-lagged, but it's fantastic to be here. Now, we're used to it. arriving in these unfamiliar settings and attempting to blend in. Actually, I've played quite a bit in the UAE and have discovered a formula, which I strive to follow. To turn it into a game, we needed to grab some wickets in the middle. The must-win area has arrived for us. This game was crucial, yet we let it escape through our fingers."
Colin Munro (Desert Vipers Captain): "Yeah it was a good victory. Bowler did well and the other players stepped out today. Just 10-15 runs short but the Capitals' bowlers were good, mainly spinner are well and hit good lengths well, and Zampa. But we still tried and 140-150 was the comparative total. Our bowlers did well and hit the right length and that was exceptional and Hasaranga and Mustafa in the middle and at last succeeded very happily."
Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals Captain): "It's pretty disappointing. The game was in our favor heading into the final five overs, but they deserve credit for their outstanding bowling in those final five overs. These were the two things we truly needed to know. We still have three games left, so hopefully, it won't harm us; we need to concentrate on those."

11:10 PM IST: With this solid win, the Desert Vipers win this game by 12 runs and registered their fifth
win in this ILT20 2023. They were clinical in all three departments and
rightly so bagged the eventual victory in the end and moved top of the point
table.
Chasing 150, the Capitals started innings with Uthappa and Zazai. They had a solid start after the early wickets of Mustafa and Uthappa. Shanaka and Suri both built up a partnership of 38 runs for the third wicket before Shanaka departed at 24 runs off 23 balls. The Capitals scored 36 runs loss of two wickets in the powerplay.
Sikandar Raza fails to impress us today as he departed at 15 runs. On the other end, Powell looked comfortable in the middle and stayed unbeaten at 34 runs off 26 balls while Yusuf Pathan came with 35 runs in 26 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. But they failed to take his team towards victory as just 13 runs short.
Great bowling from the Vipers bowlers, they gave away 20 runs in the last 4 overs. Rohan Mustafa pocketed 2 wickets in his name while Cottrell, Atkinson, and Hasaranga celebrated with a wicket each.
Earlier in the day, Dubai Capitals won the toss and opt to bowl first. The Vipers openers Hales and his co-partner Mustafa failed to give a good start for the Vipers as they lost two back-to-back wickets at 20 runs on the scoreboard. Desert Vipers scored 68 runs loss of 2 wickets in the powerplay. Billings joined Munro and this duo built up a partnership of 65 runs for the 3rd wicket before Billings departed at 25 runs off 22 balls.
Afterward, Both Rutherford and Curran handled the game very well. They both did a great job at the end and puts up a partnership of 40 runs and both departed at 22 and 21 runs respectively. Vipers finished at 149/9.
From the Capital's bowling side, Zampa was the pick of the bowler, gave away 16 runs in his 4 overs, and pocketed 3 wickets. Jake Ball and Klaassen both picked up two wickets each while Raja celebrated with a wicket.
