That's the end of the game here at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Hope you have enjoyed all the action here at our network. For now, this is me Saipavan Janaki signing it off along with my esteemed co-commentator Akshay Bhide alongside our scorer Chandan Kr Singh. Stay tuned for more coverage going on in our network, take care, stay safe and enjoy!!!!
Sherfane Rutherford (Player of the Match): "I'm feeling good. Coming to the tournament, I was working on my batting and consistency. So happy to contribute. Finishing games is something I'm working on. My plan was to play according to the merit of the ball and not think about finishing the game. Hales told me that it was a good wicket to bat on. I took a few balls to settle and then played my strokes."
Sherfane Rutherford is named the Player of the Match.
Colin Munro (Desert Vipers Skipper): " Very pleased. Set up by the bowling. Took a couple of wickets in the powerplay. But Pooran and Pollard played well. We got one of the best in the business now Alex Hales. The way he took responsibility tonight was excellent. His batting exceptionally well so there is no pressure on the guys coming. Rutherford tonight played an exceptional knock and he has been working hard on it in the nets. (Pollard's catch)I've seen him do that so many times."
Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates Skipper): "We didn't get off to a good start. We were slow and had to build. I'm feeling good and relaxed. Just enjoying cricket and it gives me the opportunity to play cricket all around the globe. Just continue to remind that age is just a number (About taking the catch). We are a great bunch of guys and a lot of skillful ones. But we have let ourselves down in bowling in a couple of games. It is an experience for everyone and hopefully we will bounce back."
Time for the post-match presentation.

10.55 PM IST | Saipavan |: With this solid win, the Desert Vipers win this game by 7 wickets and registered their fourth win in this ILT20 2023. They were clinical in all three departments and rightly so bagged the eventual victory in the end.

Chasing 170, the Vipers started innings with Mustafa and Hales. They had a solid start after the early wicket of Mustafa. Hales and skipper Munro both built up a partnership of 72 runs for the second wicket before Munro departed at 41 runs off 22 balls. Vipers scored 58 runs for the loss of one wicket in the powerplay.

Sam Billings fails to impress us today as he departed at 1 run. On the other end, Alex Hales looked comfortable in the middle and completed his fifty, and stayed unbeaten at 62 runs off 44 balls. Rutherford came with 56 runs in 29 balls. Hales and Rutherford both put up a partnership of 94 runs in the middle and took their team towards victory in the 17th over.

From the Emirates bowling side, Samit Patel pocketed 2 wickets in his name while Boult celebrated with a wicket.

Earlier in the day, Desert Vipers won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Emirates openers Waseem and his co-partner Aravind failed to give a good start for the Emirates as they lost two back-to-back wickets at 10 runs on the scoreboard. MI Emirates scored 35 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the powerplay.

Fletcher joined Pooran and this duo built up a partnership of 44 runs for the 3rd wicket before Fletcher departed at 21 runs off 18 balls. Afterward, both Pooran and Pollard handled the game very well. The Vipers failed to break the partnership as both Pooran and Pollard brought up their respective fifties. Both put a stand of 116 runs which helped them post 169 on the board. Pooran was dismissed on 57 in the last over whereas Pollard remained unbeaten on 67 off just 39 balls.

From the Vipers bowling side, Tom Curran picked up two wickets while Sheldon Cottrell and Gus Atkinson picked up a wicket each.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.

16.3 B Wheal to S Rutherford
1 Length delivery outside off, Rutherford cuts it to deep point and collects a single. With this, the Desert Vipers beat the MI Emirates by seven wickets with 21 balls to spare.
With this boundary, scores are level.
16.2 B Wheal to S Rutherford
4 FOUR!!!! A low full toss outside off, Rutherford drives at it and gets a thick outside edge that beats short third man to his right and races away to the third man fence.
16.1 B Wheal to A Hales
1lb Shorter in length on the body, Hales fails to connect on the pull and wears it on the thigh pad. The ball lobs behind and Aravind behind the stumps moves to his left and dives full length to grab it. There was no bat involved or else that would have been a spectacular catch. The batters sneak a leg bye.
Time for the final Strategic Time Out!!! Vipers are near the victory line as they need 6 runs off 24 balls. They are 164/3 after the 16 overs. Hales and Rutherford looking great in the middle and I think they both will finish in the next 1-2 overs.

15.5 F Farooqi to S Rutherford
2 Short on the stumps, Rutherford pulls it through square leg and Waseem from deep mid wicket runs to his left and keeps it to two. With this, Rutherford brings up his fifty off just 26 balls.
15.4 F Farooqi to S Rutherford
0 Another bumper from Farooqi outside off and Rutherford leaves it alone to the keeper.
15.3 F Farooqi to S Rutherford
4 FOUR!!!! A short delivery from Farooqi on the body, Rutherford swivels and pulls it over short fine leg for a boundary. Not the cleanest of contacts but enough to go past short fine leg to the ropes.
15.2 F Farooqi to A Hales
1 A low full toss outside off and Hales drives it to deep covers for a single.
