So, that's it from this game. Do join us tomorrow for more IL T20 League action coming your way. Switch tabs and stick around to our network for more cricketing action across the globe. For now, this is Tugral Azmi signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Najibullah Zadran (Player of the Match): "Thanks to Allah for the win. What a finish. With 20 runs needed, really happy to get across the line. I tried to stay calm on the crease and I had the ability to hit to any part of the ground. So I backed myself. I decided to go with the big hit as all the fielders were very close to me. I dedicate this award to my mom."
Najibullah Zadran is the Player of the Match.
Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates Skipper): "That is the nature of T20 cricket. Someone has to lose and we were on the right side. DJ was out there in the middle and he is an experienced guy. That helps as it allows you to decide which bowler to attack. We gave 25 runs too much but we believed that we would chase it down. Everytime you get an opportunity to play cricket, you should be ready to improve."
Sunil Narine (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Skipper): "It is a bit tough. We were expected to win but that's how cricket goes and it is a hard pill to swallow. 170 was a good total and our bowlers tried hard but it just didn't work out. In these close games, we have to handle pressure and they played well in crunch situations. It is a game where someone wins and someone loses and we were on the losing side tonight. We have to take one game at a time."
11:23 PM IST | With that maximum, the MI Emirates clinch a solid win over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. They were clinical in all three departments and rightly so bagged the eventual victory in the end.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders posted 170 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. A power-hitting inning from Dhananjaya de Silva (65 off 40) and ably supported by Charith Asalanka from the other end who scored 23 off 17, and cameo innings of the skipper Sunil Narine (28* off 18). They helped their side to post a mammoth target of 170. On the flip side, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Zahoor Khan scalped two wickets for the Emirates, while Trent Boult and Kieron Pollard bagged a solitary wicket a piece each.

While chasing a formidable target of 171 runs, Will Smeed and Waseem have opened for MI Emirates. They were backfoot in the powerplay as they lost the wicket of their opener cheaply. Muhammad Waseem (2 off 7), and Will Smeed (11 off 12) failed to impress with the bat and they were the batter to depart in the powerplay.

Andre Fletcher along with Nicholas Pooran started building a partnership for the third wicket, this duo added some 55 runs and the latter dismissed on 20. After that Kumara showed Andre Fletcher (53 off 43) the way back to the pavilion. Skipper Pollard and scored a breathtaking 31 off 23 balls at the end of the day to reduce the margin. Bravo came to support Zadran, the former completely handled the command of the team from one side. 20 runs were needed in the final over to win, which was impossible for Emirates, but Zadran (35* off 17) and Bravo (15* off 6) took their team to the victory line.

Kumara was the pick of the bowlers for Knight Riders as he picked up 2 wickets for 34 runs in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for Akeal Hosein, Sunil Narine, and Andre Russell.

Back-to-back victory for MI Emirates, and they will look to carry the momentum in the upcoming matches.

Stick around for the post-match presentations…….

19.6 A Russell to N Zadran
6 SIXXXX!!!! Zadran hits the killer blow. Heartbreak for the Knight Riders as Russell fails to defend 20 and they suffer their fifth loss of the competition. Russell bangs it short outside off, Zadran upper cuts it over short third man and it sails over the ropes. MI Emirates win a thriller as they beat the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders by five wickets.
Scores are level. That is a beautiful shot. The best shot was seen tonight. Just one run away from the victory.
19.5 A Russell to N Zadran
6 SIXXXX!!!! Zadran has hit a monster here. What a cracking shot from Zadran here and that should be the game for the MI Emirates here. Russell bangs it short and Zadran was waiting for it as he pummels the pull over the square leg fence for a massive six. It sails 97 m and the Emirates dugout is loving this.
MI needs 7 runs in 2 balls.
19.4 A Russell to D Bravo
1 Russell switches to over the wicket. Nails the yorker on the stumps and Bravo digs it out in the point region for a single.
DJ Bravo is changing the tide of the game. They need 8 runs in 3 balls.
19.3 A Russell to D Bravo
4 FOUR!!!! Whacked by Bravo. Russell goes wide of the crease and bowls it right in the slot, Bravo gets under it and drills it straight back over the bowler's head for a boundary. The long on fielder has no chance of stopping this one.
They need 12 runs in 4 balls
19.2 A Russell to D Bravo
2 Russell nails the yorker outside off and Bravo swings at it but inside edges it past the keeper. He calls for two and completes it.
Woah. Massive one by Bravo...!!! Great way to start the last over. Emirates needs 14 runs in 5 balls.
19.1 A Russell to D Bravo
6 SIXXXX!!!!! What a shot from DJ Bravo. Russell from round the wicket bowls it right in the slot on the stumps, Bravo stands still and whips it over the mid wicket fence for a biggie. It sails 87 m and the Emirates are back in the contest.
