That's it for this game. Join us for more ILT20 League action tomorrow and switch tabs to catch more action across our network in the different formats that we are bringing you. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Probuddha Bhattacharjee alongside scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
James Vince (Gulf Giants Captain and Player of the Match): "Well it's a much different game than yesterday. They got off to a great start, but we pulled it back in the last 10 overs. 180 was par and the bowlers deserve a lot of credit for it. I found the ball moving around a bit. Rehan played a good cameo. I struggled a bit, Gerhard played well and the ball started doing nothing after the first 4-6 overs. So, it was important to spend time in the middle. Since Rehan played well, I played myself in and made my life a lot easier. Cricket is a funny game, Sanchit was taken to the cleaners today. It happens. We are here to win and we are off to a good start. We will get a few days off and then come back stronger to win the coming games."
James Vince has been awarded the Player of the Match.
Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals Captain): "Yes, he was very good. Top of the order 70+ we should have come out on top, but unfortunately for us. I did well but we stalled in the back end. They did well and credit to them for their bowling. The guys bowled well, but they batted better. We were 15-20 runs short in the end. Fantastic facilities here and the batters and bowlers can deliver here really well."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
11:07 PM IST: So, the Gulf Giants win this game by 6 wickets with an over to spare to go top of the points table. It was the skipper James Vince who led from the front and got able support from Gerhard Erasmus to give them the win. The bowlers pulled it back for them in the backend of the innings and it was the skipper doing it for them.

Chasing an imposing 183 for the win, the Giants got off to a strong start courtesy of their openers Rehan Ahmed and skipper James Vince. The opening duo put on 43 for the first wicket inside the powerplay before Rehan fell for 28 off 17 balls. But it was the James Vince show as the skipper remained unbeaten on 83* off 56 balls. He was ably supported by Gerhard Erasmus who scored a quickfire 52 off 28 balls. The duo put on 107 for the third wicket to take the game away from the opposition. David Wiese was unbeaten on 7* in the end, as the target was achieved in 19 overs. 7 extras were given by the fielding side.

Mujeeb was the pick of the bowlers picking up 2 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs while Rovman Powell picked up the other wicket. The other wicket was a run-out. The rest of the bowlers were taken to the cleaners.

Earlier in the game, Dubai Capitals inserted into bat first, got off to a blazing start courtesy of Robin Uthappa who scored a blazing 79 off 46 balls. He was sensational. The skipper Rovman Powell was good in his 38 off 25 balls while Sikandar Raza chipped in with 30 off 19 balls. Hazrat Luqman got 10 off 3 balls as the innings fell away toward the end of the innings. They looked good to get to 200+ but ended up with 182/8 in 20 overs with the help of 10 extras given by the fielding side.

Richard Gleeson was good with the ball as he picked up a couple of wickets with figures of 2/22 in 4 overs. Rehan Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/28 in 4 overs. A wicket apiece for David Wiese and Sanchit Sharma. All in all, they will be happy with the bowling effort in the end.

So, a win for the Gulf Giants over Dubai Capitals by 6 wickets with an over to spare to climb to the top of the points table with 2 wins out of 2 games. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony that comes your way now.
