Aiden Markram: "All the games so far we struggled to package a full game together. Pleased to do that today. Yesterday, we were probably aiming a bit too high. Couple of meetings this morning on how to go about. T20 cricket is about one or two guys performing. We will have to re-start again on Tuesday. It is a big game, Paarl are a great side. So, as I said, have to start from scratch again. Awesome to have the Bulldog (Roelof) in the team."

It was one of those nights where everything goes your way, so I was just hitting my areas. Still, I like it. I adore team sports. To see how long it can last, I'd love to stay here for a few more years. liking it a lot (the tournament). I feel extremely fortunate that we get to perform in front of this audience."
Quinton de Kock: "To be honest, at the toss I didn't know what to do. Looking back at it now, would have batted first. It is a concern to have two blow-outs like this. Said we can't dwell on the last game but if it is happening repeatedly, have to assess. We need points desperately."

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape put on a dominant display against the Durban Super Giants in a match that was nothing short of a rout. After being invited to bat first, the Sunrisers posted a mammoth 210 runs on the board, thanks to a swashbuckling inning from Adam Rossington (72 off 30), Jordan Hermann (59 off 44), Aiden Markram (44* off 34), and Tristan Stubbs (27* off 13). The Durban Super Giants' bowlers were left helpless as the Sunrisers' batters took the game to them.
In pursuit of the Sunrisers' 210 runs, the Durban Super Giants got off to a disastrous start as they were 5 wickets down for just 50 runs in the 9th over. Matthew Breetzke, Wiaan Mulder, Heinrich Klaasen, Quinton de Kock, and Jason Holder all failed to impress with the bat. However, Mulder showed some intent with 29 runs off 15 balls, but he couldn't settle in the middle. The Durban Super Giants continued to lose wickets at regular intervals, getting bundled out for a measly 86 runs.
The Sunrisers' bowlers were led by the outstanding Roelof van der Merwe, who scalped 6 wickets and gave away just 20 runs in 4 overs. JJ Smuts, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, and Mason Crane each contributed one wicket, but this match was all about the Sunrisers' dominance. The Orange Army cruised to an easy 124-run victory, and the Durban Super Giants will have to regroup and come up with a new game plan if they hope to have any chance of winning the next match.
