Faf du Plessis(Joburg Super Kings|Skipper): " Sure, it's an incredible win. Like from 100 for 1 we came back pretty well. Thanks to Donavon and Hendricks they are part-time bowlers but they did very well. It is one of those wickets, where it is very very difficult to bat against spinners. Credit goes to Donavon he batted beautifully, and he has a bright future. See when we come onto the pitch all the plans go away and that's the reason I had to use the spinners as it was looking like the pitch is helpful for the spinners."
Donavon Ferreira (Player of the match): " felt so positive. The coaching staff chose me for a reason, so I'm just trying to concentrate on my game, and I'll do what's necessary. I just tried to smash straight, and fortunately, it worked out. I like playing a positive brand of cricket. On this wicket, it's crucial to maintain your shape while going for the big hits. Faf asked me to bowl after I bowled in the nets. I think it has been six months since I last bowled. Fortunately, today it worked."
Quinton de-Kock(Durban Super Giants |Skipper):" Yeah obviously when Donavon came in he took all the momentum towards them at the end of the innings and I think I should have batted till the end. Yeah, it looked like the pitch got slower in the second innings as compared to the first innings. Just keep moving can't be upset about tonight's game.

12:36 AM IST | Deepak: Joburg Super Kings starts their campaign with a win.🙌🙌 A brilliant comeback by the Kings in both innings and crushed Durban Super Giants by 16 runs at their home.
Earlier, after deciding to bat first in the first inning, the Joburg Super Kings posted 190 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Donavon Ferreira's 💥swashbuckling inning (82* off 40) and Romario Shepherd's 💪 electrifying inning (40 off 19) helped the Kings post a 190-run total in a critical situation. At one point they were 4 down for 27 runs in 6 overs, and eventually, they posted 190 runs. On the other side, Prenelan Subrayen was the pick of the bowlers for the Super Giants, as he scalped a couple of wickets and gave away 26 runs in the 3 overs.
The Super Giants get off to a flying start in pursuit of the Kings' 190-run total, with both openers, Quinton de Kock and Kyle Mayers, coming out all guns blazing and scoring briskly from the first over. They posted 65 runs in the powerplay without losing any wickets. The duo glued a partnership of 98 runs for the first wicket, and Kyle Mayers departed for 39 runs off 29 balls. Quinton de Kock continued a similar approach in the batting and completed his first fifty in his first match of the SA T-20 league, but his efforts were cut short in the last ball of the 14th over as he departed for 78 runs off 52 balls.
At one point, the Super Giants were heading towards victory, but a small collapse in the middle put them on the back foot, and in the end, they were able to score 174 runs but fell short by 16 runs.
On the other hand, Alzarri Joseph was the pick of the bowlers for the Kings as he scalped a couple of wickets and gave away 30 runs in 4 overs. Malusi Siboto, Donavon Ferreira, and Aaron Phangiso shared one wicket each.

1 That's it!!!! Joburg Super Kings start their campaign with a victory!!!Good length delivery on the middle stump line, Paul clears his front leg and tries to smoke it on the leg side but gets it on the inside half of the bat and the ball rolls towards deep mid-wicket region.
19.5 A Joseph to D Pretorius
W Is that OUT???? Appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Pretorius takes the review. Yorker on the middle stump line, Pretorius shuffles across and tries to clip it on the leg side but misses it and wears it on the pads and the ball deflects towards the keeper. It looked plumb with the naked eye. Ultra edge shows no bat involved and ball tracking shows three reds on it. OUT is the decision from third umpire too and Pretorius has to walk back.
