The bowlers captain themselves and they know their games very well. They know their strengths and weaknesses and another big game coming up tomorrow against the New York Strikers. Complete domination from Team Abu Dhabi as they beat the Bangla Tigers by eight wickets to seal a berth in the playoffs of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022. Chris Lynn remains unbeaten on 34 as they chase down 75 in seven overs. The Tigers were outplayed tonight and they finish the season with only two wins under their belt.
Defending 75 was always going to be a tough task against a strong Team Abu Dhabi batting lineup. They got off to a very good start, thanks to skipper Chris Lynn. He hit some lusty blows upfront and led from the front. Alex Hales struggled a bit at the other end and was dismissed on six in the third over. There was no stopping Lynn at the other end as he hit some fantastic shots.
James Vince joined his skipper and he played aggressively from the word go. They were going nicely before Jacob Lintott knocked over Vince on 29. It was too little too late for the Tigers as King hit a massive six on his first ball to seal the deal for Team Abu Dhabi. Lynn remained unbeaten on 34 as they completed a comprehensive win over the Tigers.
Earlier, Team Abu Dhabi skipper Lynn won the toss and opted to bowl first. The decision paid off as they bowled brilliantly upfront and didn’t allow the Tigers to get away. The spinners in Adil Rashid and Fabian Allen wreaked havoc in the middle overs as they bowled beautifully and picked up two wickets each.
Lewis Gregory lower down the order hit a couple of lusty blows and scored 13 but Team Abu Dhabi bowlers were too good as they restricted the Tigers to 74/5 at the end of the 10 overs. Andrew Tye also chipped in with a wicket as they completed a fantastic performance with the ball in hand. The batters then stepped up to get across the line with ease.
