That's it from this game and the series as India wins the series 2-0. We hope you have enjoyed our coverage of the Bangladesh-India Test series. Loads of cricketing action happening across the globe. Until next time, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Anirudh Modi and Deepak Prakash alongside scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Here's wishing all our viewers Merry Christmas. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
KL Rahul will go collect the Trophy from the signatory and now he takes the Trophy to his teammates as they pose in front of the camera with the winner tag. They deserve to celebrate and they win their 11th win in 13 games. So, hard luck to Bangladesh as they fought like warriors.
KL Rahul | India Captain: "When I'm nervous I just trust the guys in the middle, they have played enough cricket and there's always belief that someone will put their hand up and get the job done. There was calm in the dressing room, today Ashwin and Shreyas did the job and did it with ease and style on a tricky wicket. We never thought it was gonna be a cakewalk, we had to really grind and work hard for runs. In both innings we saw the new ball does a lot more and it gets easier when it gets older, and that's when you cash in on the runs. We learn from this experience, we have made mistakes and we will try to find better answers in a similar situation next time. That's been there for the last 6-7 years, and we didn't do that enough in the foreign countries, our spinners know how to bowl on this wicket and they did damage. Siraj is learning every game and getting better, Umesh has come back after a long time but he has experience and put the Bangaldeshi batters under pressure."
Cheteshwar Pujara (Player of the Series): "It's been a great series. This was a competitive series. I wanted a big one and got it. It's the experience of playing First-Class Matches that have helped me. Important to play first-class matches as there is a gap between the tests. The Tests are important for the WTC Points table. I think every Test is important and to do well here, you have to play first-class cricket. I think it's about following the right process and doing well. The first-Class result is important and doing well there. I have experience with me and it helps to succeed in this longest format. Happy to be back in form."
Ravichandran Ashwin( Player of the match): "I think the game was on the line. We didn't have much batting left. Bangladesh bowled really very well as they put us under a lot of pressure. They bowled good lines, and I thought we didn't trust our defenses enough. In these situations, you sometimes feel like you have to be ahead of things. I liked Shreyas' batting style. Here, pitches are fairly decent. But I felt that the ball became quite mushy very rapidly. To their credit, Bangladesh occasionally put us under a lot of pressure."
Shakib Al Hasan | Bangladesh Captain: "Everyone contributed and we always know we have a chance, we have been playing really well at this venue. But yes we played well and the crowd supported us too which was great. Ashwin and Shreyas played really well, we had 75 runs to play with and we needed one more wicket. We can think about a lot of things but we are here now. My job in the team is to contribute with both bat and ball. The mentality and will throughout this test match was impressive from the team and we can improve from here and hopefully next year will be a better year for Bangladesh Cricket."
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.
10:50 AM IST: What a terrific Test match we have had here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. India have held their nerves to win this game by 3 wickets and win the series 2-0. They will breathe a sigh of relief thanks to Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin winning it for India.

Let's recap what we witnessed through the course of the 3 and a bit days in Mirpur. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored 227 thanks to Mominul Haque's 84. The other batters got starts but couldn't kick on to a good total. Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav picked up 4 wickets apiece while Jaydev Unadkat picked up a couple of wickets on his comeback.

India in reply scored 314 after being 94/4 at one stage thanks to Rishabh Pant's 93 and Shreyas Iyer's 87 as the duo put up 159 runs for the fifth wicket to take the game away from Bangladesh. The others got starts, but couldn't kick on. Shakib Al Hasan and Taijul Islam picked up 4 wickets apiece while Mehidy and Taskin picked up one wicket apiece. That 87-run lead was crucial at the end of the day.

Bangladesh in their second innings scored 231 with Zakir Hasan scoring a defiant 51. Litton Das was special with his 73. Crucial contributions from Nurul Hasan and Taskin Ahmed helped Bangladesh set up a target of 145 for India to chase on a deteriorating pitch. Axar Patel was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. He was ably supported by Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammad Siraj who picked up a couple of wickets each. A wicket apiece for Umesh Yadav and Jaydev Unadkat.

India chasing a target of 145 for the win, got off to a disastrous start. They lost KL Rahul for 2 and Shubman Gill for 7. Cheteshwar Pujara made 6 while Virat Kohli made 1 as India were reeling at 37/4 at one stage. Jaydev Unadkat scored 13 and Axar looked good in his 34. India were struggling at 74/7 and were down and out. Out came Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin came out there and weathered the storm. The duo put up 71 runs for the 8th wicket and stayed till the end. Iyer was unbeaten on 29* and Ravichandran Ashwin was unbeaten on 42* as India came from out of nowhere to win by 3 wickets and get crucial WTC Points.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 5/63 in 19 overs. The other two wickets fell to Shakib Al Hasan. Taijul went wicketless while the pacers hardly bowled in this innings. Was that a strategic blunder of not bowling more pacers here? Well loads of ifs and buts there.

So, a win by 3 wickets for India and they win the series 2-0. Stick around as the post-match presentation ceremony is coming your way.
