Earlier, after deciding to bat first, the Colombo Stars were bundled out for 106 runs. Skipper Angelo Mathews was the lone warrior for the Stars as he amassed 41 runs off 39 balls. On the other hand, it was the Kandy Falcons' Chamika Karunaratne and Oshane Thomas who stole the show, with Karunaratne taking 4 wickets for just 10 runs in 3.2 overs and Thomas snagging 3 wickets in a single over.

The duo remained undefeated until the end, leading the Kandy Falcons to a comfortable 9-wicket victory with 24 balls to spare. Kamindu Mendis reached his half-century mark in the process, while Andre Fletcher finished with 44 runs off 41 balls and Kamindu Mendis ended with 51 runs off 48 balls. The Kandy Falcons put on a dominant performance, thanks to the impressive efforts of Andre Fletcher and Kamindu Mendis.
On the other hand, Suranga Lakmal was the only bowler for the Stars to extract a wicket.
