Angelo Mathews ( Colombo Stars Captain): " Moving forward, our goal as a team is to get better. We need to fine-tune all the areas towards the business end of the tournament. The last few days have seen some excellent cricket from us. They were completely outclassed by Rajitha, and Asalanka expertly wrapped off the day's events for us. We already had the players, all we needed to do was find the proper pairing. We gained a lot of confidence after the first game, and we improved with each subsequent contest. The momentum for winning is strong."
Dasun Shanka (Dambulla AURA Captain): "See it hurts but the brand of cricket we played is poor. We have to admit that. We have to play quality cricket at this stage. The youngsters don't get much opportunities and the senior guys aren't playing according to their potential. Other combination is not the best that's the area we should have a look at before coming in a tournament like this."

The Dambulla AURA's wait for getting off the mark in the points table is extended as the Colombo Stars demolish them by 9 wickets with 51 deliveries remaining after bundling the AURA out for a paltry 89 in just 13.5 overs.
The Stars won the toss and elected to field first with fast bowler Kasun Rajitha proving the decision right with a wicket on the very first delivery of the match and followed it by 4 more wickets as he bowled his quota of 4 overs on the trot to finish with his first ever 5-wicket haul and best ever figures in T20 cricket, 5/22.
Pramod Madushan (23*), Dasun Shanaka (20), Jordan Cox (16), 12 extras and Chaturanga de Silva (11) were the only Dambulla batters to score in double figures as the batting order collapsed against the bowling attack led by Rajitha and well backed by Jeffrey Vandersay, Suranga Lakmal and Karim Janat.
The chase looked high intense only for one ball as Pramod Madushan repeated Rajitha's feat of bowling a batter on the very first delivery with Niroshan Dickwella being the only fatality for the Stars. Madushan bowled a wonderful spell of 2-1-3-1 but it wasn't enough to stop Charith Asalanka (58*) and Dinesh Chandimal (31*) who opened the innings today with Dickwella, to get to the total in style inside 12 overs as they added unbeaten 90 runs to take the Stars home who now have 6 points in 6 games.
