That's it from an enthralling game of cricket. Time to sign off. Ninaad Dixit here on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer Yogesh. Stay tuned for more cricket coverage from across the globe.
Captains Dasun Shanaka and Hashmatullah Shahidi share the silverware and the cheque. The series ends in a 1-1 tie.
Dasun Shanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "First of all, thanks to the crowd for supporting us and wanting us to win. It was a great game of cricket. It was tough and we lost our way and kept coming back with partnerships in the middle. I think with the ball we were indisciplined and were concerned about things that we were not in control of. So, in the coming series, we have to improve this aspect. My plan was to bat till the 45th over and I batted till the 42nd over if I stayed till the end, we could have won a lot easier. Charith is a special player for us. He is our finisher and he proved that with a vital knock of 80-odd Wellalage was special, to say the least. So, happy for them and happy for the win."
Hashmatullah Shahidi (Afghanistan Captain): "The score was good enough but unluckily Sri Lankan batters did very good and put us down. Rashid did his job very well according to the plan. Other bowlers didn't went according to the plan what we wanted from them but the Sri Lankan batters did really well.

I think we had some misfielding also. Some extra singles to them and dropped catches might have went against us. It was a good experience. Sri Lanka is a tough team playing in its home conditions but our team also played some good cricket."
Ibrahim Zadran: "To be honest, didn't know this. First of all, very happy with my knock and how I played. The ball was stopping initially. I took my time initially and then accelerated later on. We lost a couple of wickets quickly and then we had a chat with Najib. Once he got to his 50, we kept things going and got to a big total of 300+. I am happy with the start of international cricket. I want to keep things going and do well for my side. This means a lot to win the Player of the Series award. I dedicate this award to my family and parents back home. So, it's to them"
Ibrahim Zadran is the Player of the Series.
Charith Asalanka: "Really happy about our team performance. We were behind in the series and it was a must-win game. Happy to be home. I believe in my captain. He kept the scoreboard ticking. He scored at a high strike rate and I am very happy for his performance. I just believed in Wellalage. He is a good potential player and he proved it. Feeling a bit better but at a stage I wanted to go out but I stayed and decided to win the game for my country."
Charith Asalanka is the player of the match.
Time for the post-match presentation.
Sri Lanka manage to level the first ever bilateral series between the two teams as Afghanistan go down in the final over of a thriller by 4 wickets. Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first and scored a mammoth 313/8 on the back of a terrific third ODI century from Ibrahim Zadran and a brisk 77 from Najibullah Zadran.

Kasun Rajitha bowled well again and picked up 3/60 in his 10 overs. Wanindu Hasaranga chipped in with a couple of wickets but was costly. Dhananjaya de Silva and Asitha Fernando who made a comeback in the XI, got a wicket apiece.

The start was absolutely perfect for Sri Lanka as the openers added 101 runs in 18 overs with Kusal Mendis getting his 20th half century in the format scoring 67 off 61 deliveries. Dinesh Chandimal continued his good work and got a good start but fell on 33 off 32 deliveries.

Then started the Charith Asalanka show! The left hander was good on his feet as he scored boundaries all over the park and hit four massive sixes as well one of which resulted him in a niggle as he finished the game on one leg! He was supported well in the middle by skipper Dasun Shanaka as the duo added 79 runs for the fifth wicket.

After losing Wanindu Hasaranga and the required rate tinkering at more than 10 an over, no one would have given Sri Lanka the chance but another guy making his comeback in the XI, Dunith Wellalage started cautiously but soon started to find the middle of the bat scoring 31 off just 21 balls with four fours and one massive six to finish the game off with 2 balls to spare.

Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi had a good night with the ball with the former picking 4/37 in his 10 overs turning the momentum in the visitors' favor on more than one occasion with a right mix of googlies and leg breaks which proved difficult to read for the home side.

Stay tuned as we comeback with the presentation ceremony in a short while.
ASALANKA HITS THIS OUT OF THE GROUND! SRI LANKA WIN A THRILLER!! What a chase and the partnership between Charith Asalanka and Dunith Wellalage!
49.4 F Farooqi to C Asalanka
6 SIX! Short ball and in the slot, Asalanka picks it up and hits it hard and flat over deep midwicket as the ball goes over the ropes to win the game for Sri Lanka. Asalanka is the hero for them and so is Wellalage as the Lankans come out of nowhere to win the game by 4 wickets with 2 balls left. They level the series at 1-1.
49.3 F Farooqi to D Wellalage
1 Slower ball around off, Wellalage drills it hard to long-on for a single and gives the strike back to the set batter.
A much needed and well executed dot ball. 7 needed off 4.
49.2 F Farooqi to D Wellalage
0 Back of a length slower ball here, Wellalage looks to lap it away and misses to the keeper. A dot that Afghanistan needed to keep themselves alive.
Would have been a catch! This will prove costly for Afghanistan!
49.1 F Farooqi to D Wellalage
6 SIX! Short of a length and in the slot, Wellalage pulls it away towards the midwicket region and swings it to Rashid Khan who parries it over the ropes for the maximum.
